Coolant leak fixed. Ended up double gasketing the coolant neck to the spacer but it doesn't leak anymore.

Wife took the car out and had a grin on her face the whole time.

Turned the boost down to 10psi to do more tunning and stuff. I was thinking about taking the car to York (known him for a while and he does all of my alignments and tire mounting).

I know you guys have been there for Dyno days, any negatives about going to him for some tunning?

- Lost two bolts from the crank pulley. Put them all back in with Blue Thread locker.

- The top two nuts from the many to turbo were little loose tightened them down...and put the stage 8 hardware back on, making sure they are jammed against something where they can't move. The studs were fine though. Wish I could get inco studs for them but they are longer because I have the old FM manifold with the new FM DP which requires a spacer to fit, and needs longer studs.

- Tightened down some coolant hoses as I was loosing a tiny bit coolant.

All teething problems. Tunning is going well and the car is very fun. I think I want a better exhaust (old Roadster Sport or something exhaust for NA) Thinking something 3inch, so I can run ALLOFIT.

I want a 3" too, but I need to swap my diff first. I always tell my wife that 3" is 8".

After seeing Brain's gains going from a 2.25 to 3 inch I think, I am all in. That was one of the last pieces of the puzzle. Getting the FM exhaust might be out of the question as it is a bit on the spencive side.

Makes a huge difference. Here's why:

Awesome build. Great job! Perhaps I'll do something like this someday... I see a lot of crappy cheap RX-7's pop up and I have a weird want for an RX-7.

Thnx. I am a fan of FC's and FD's....not the motors but the cars themselves. There are too many older cool cars for me to have all of them though :(

So SaintFoo calls me up and is all like

"I've made two offspring and now feel that the miata is not manly enough for me, so I am selling it and getting a more manly car. Can you go to Pennsultucky to pick up my new car cause you are near there? Oh and I ordered something for the Miata that you can has since I wont be using it now."

I was intrigued so the wife and I drive to bango land to pick up this mid life man car.

COBRA KAI!!!!TSSSS Take no prisoners!!!!! Sweep the leg and all that.

After being hooted at and men honking at me (this car gets more man tail than the miata) I takes it over to SaintFoo's house, oh and its his birthday and its hot outside.

I am all like HAPPY BIRTHDAY and he is all like a full mast looking at his new car. Then he is like oh yeah I have a box for you. I am intrigued since being around cats I have grown very fond of boxes.

This is a nice box. So I ask how much this nice looking box would cost me. Being that SaintFoo is half Kolean and a former miata owner we settled on some Kimchi and man secks. Wife was ok with Man secks since we were in a different area code. She being half AZN herself understood the fondness of Kimchi.

Deal done and we went home. TO MY SUPLIES the box had stuff in it.

Some red antlers that were bigger then the antlers on my miata now. AND some new pogo sticks, although my old ones were a nice looking red, these were just black with blue springs. The ***** were orange and sparkly though.

So now the car is all like riding on marshmallows with angels singing Robin Thicke melodies to me while feeding me grapes.

Next head gasket.

Seriously? First you abuse his Cobra and then you get quality suspension for free? Don't give me that man sex stuff, you should have paid him for that.

This puts you into 1%'er category. I officially hate you now. It's an envy thing. One of the deadly sins.

Would the story be better if I said I paid him money but got a huge friend discount since I've known him for a very long time and held his babies and worked with him AND raced with him? SaintFoo is a very generous dude though, but he is a very good friend.

I had to put on my 7 inch springs that I had laying around from race car since the rear springs are coming in later looks like. Problem is they are 7 inchers and dont work that awesome with the collars on this car ( very close to the axles and to the upper control arm in the front). But the car is sitting at the correct height. More monsta truck then crubroadster. Might take the helpers off or wait for the new springs to come in.

Seems my head gasket is done on the exhaust side. Need new one. I think I need to put up my two sets of Koni's and my RB sway bars for sale at some point.

Head gasket, arp studs and that intake manifold gasket from 949 ordered. Spending too much money on the 1.6...shoulda just done a freeking 1.8 already.

Anyone feel like they want 800lb front springs and 500lb rears on their XIDA's? I would be willing to trade for 700/400's. They are brand new and never been on a car.

My 7 inch 700/450's are too long to use with the Xida's properly.

Its been too hot to take the head off the car. I got the intake and exhaust many off and some other stuff but decided that video games and AC were more important.

Hate to tell you this, but a great way to pull the head is to leave those manifolds on (assuming you lift!).

800/500 is fine, real great on hoosiers. IMO too much rate for street tires to be fast, but still comfortable on the street.

I'm an IT guy, I lift my mouse sometimes and my laptop. Ones I lifted a transmission with my lower back as leverage, Once.

I didn't want to disconnect anything else to get stuff out (my turbo doesnt leak right now) So I just seperated all of them from the head and put the to the side. Not hard to do although the FM manifold makes it almost impossible with normal wrenches to get to some of the bolts (who designed this thing anyway?)

So you think the 800/500 should be ok on the street? I mean with the 700/450 right now it sticks so hard its not even funny and the ride is good. Maybe I will try them out, if no like I can always downsize.
