And to stay on topic, I personally use a compact crimper like this one for most stuff at work. Easy-ish to get into tight places for the most part and 12-20awg covers just about everything you're gonna mess with in a Miata.
We will get the wiring sorted out, Paisa is not too far from me. I think he scored an extra pump hanger today.
Good to hear from you Greg, I hope all is well. You are still always welcome to stay a few days in my guest room... If you think you are ready to take me now
(Goes to garage to turn boost up.)
I actually like the oil line routing. Looks like that routing keeps it pretty well away from the hot stuff and the fact that it doesn’t make contact with anything.
What’s the reason behind keeping the injector adapters? I remember running mine for about six months then ditching them because I wanted to clean up the harness for vanity lol.
I'm going redo the fittings on the fuel rail as I redid them with run of the mill Teflon tape. I'll be using Loctite 595, and I'll have the chance to hide the harness better.
I'd be curious how that FPR works for you, I had issues with the compact units maintaining fuel pressure at high loads. Screw a real pressure sensor into the gauge port and monitor it with your ECU, it should track with boost pressure. Just make sure to hook up that vacuum line.
I ordered an 1/8th NPT Tee so I can keep the gauge in the engine bay, and be able to run a sensor so the ECU to monitor/log as well.
Yeah those look crimped by pliers. Give them a good tug, they shouldn't come apart. You can get some budget ratchet crimpers for pretty cheap these days:
Good job on all the progress! Always nice to see a poorly modified car be reborn with an owner who cares 😀
Wild, I didn't think you'd see my build thread! This car was in very rough shape when I got it, and relatively is from an exterior POV. I'm chipping away at it to revive it from the previous owner's choices. I appreciate your videos as they have helped me along the way with my build.

I'll be adding one of these to my arsenal of tools as I get deeper into working with wires, thank you.

Extra pump hanger confirmed, thank you for your willingness to help out.
Another miata hit the junkyard today, so I made the drive after work and pulled this. It is a spare fuel pump hanger that I will install my original DW100. That way it is drop in ready for when it is time to smog. Now having that out of the way, I will go the same route that @sonofthehill went with wiring his fuel pump, and bypassing the stock fuel pump plug. I also pulled the ethanol content sensor from a chevy impala. The clerk thought that it was part of the fuel pump hanger, so he didn't charge me extra for it. With MS2PNP, I will be losing launch control, but at least I'll be able to run straight E85.
