Dropped the engine in over the weekend but couldn't take any pics cause for some stupid retarded ass reason my damn camera wouldn't charge. Didn't get it running yet because of some fitment issues. I've got to clock the turbo so my oil drain doesn't hit the steering shaft and figure out my oil drain. Turbo outlet is also gonna be a bitch since it's so close to the subframe now. Oh yea also found out my started took a shit so I need one of those too

Dude awesome thread. Like to see that your taking your time and of course doing it right! But for the love of god brother, please change the front bumper!:giggle:
The bumper was on the car when I got and it's not on the top of my list of things to do but one day it'll be replaced
Just got my denso 750s back from DeatschWerks. Waiting on a starter and a coupler and everything will be ready to start
Small update nothing special but I ordered the fittings I need for my oil return line and a catch can. Should be in tomorrow(I love Summit) and maybe if I get off work early enough I can get it all hooked up and start the car for the first time
Shits for sale I'm done with this car......
hahaha what?
Ok so I'm gonna try and get the car running then we'll see about a partout. Tried to start the car last nite and had no pedal pressure for the clutch. Car also wouldn't turn over. Don't know if maybe something was left unhooked or maybe the starter I got was bad(didn't test it before install) Does all the ignition stuff have to be hooked up for the engine to turn over?

Seriously, there aren't many things to getting your car to start. Its pretty simple. Dont give up now. |
Ok so either something is unhooked, starter could be bad, maybe when I had the dash out and took the alarm system out it won't let it start now.
What about no clutch pedal pressure? Bleed the stystem? |
If you're going to bother bleeding it, might as well replace the slave and master cylinders. $60 for the two together on eBay. Easy as pie.
K I'll look into those right now thanks

Here, $40 for both. Daikin brand parts, OEM quality. I think it's the same seller I bought mine from. One other recommendation. If you're messing with the clutch hydraulics anyway, you may as well replace the soft OEM clutch line with a braided steel unit. This eliminates the curly q in the stock line, should make it easier to bleed and possibly improve the pedal feel. I didn't buy mine until after I'd already replaced the master and slave cylinders, and I have yet to go back and replace it. http://advanced-autosports.com/PROD0...r_the_hood.htm |
I just bought the master and slave from rockauto and got them $55 shipped and I agree on the clutch line I was just about to look for one thanks again

Stainless clutch line from 949racing
Good call, I forgot he's selling them now too. Did you get the race version?
