Or you fill up on whichever fuel and don't have to think about it because the tune/sensor takes care of variations.

so you have a map for e60, e65, e70, e75, e80, e85? and a 93 pump map that's about the only way it will work. And you need a way to monitor what exactly you are getting out of the pump. Only way i'd do it a e85 non flex fuel is buying e85 out of the barrel only then would it be consistent.

E85 changes station to station there is no real regulation on the content, one Shell might have E90 one day, and the station down the street has E75. Also, who knows when they switch over to winter blend. The reason I like the flex fuel system is I can drive my car anywhere in the United States with out having to look for the nearest E85 station or wait until I am on E and then bust out the lap top to switch maps.

You don't need to map for each octane content, it will pull or add timing and boost dependent on the content you have have to input the perimeters into the tune and it will adjust accordingly. Boost I can control via my iBoost set up with 5 stages of boost control. Say if my analyzer reads E85 for example I will have no problem running stage 5 and so forth. I am most likely going to have it set up something like this.

Stage 1: 15 psi 93 octane
Stage 2: 20 psi 93 octane
Stage 3: 25 psi mix of 93 and E85 (ethanol content at least E50+)
Stage 4: 30 psi Ethanol content at least E70
Stage 5: 35 psi Ethanol content at least E80+

I am working with a few venders for my transmission solution as well, I am not going to name names yet however I might end up running a dog box.

Yea i know I'm just giving the guy ****. I had the same setup proefi/iboost/flexfuel in my Supra made 700whp@at 30psi. on a baby 62mm turbo.

I had

Stage 1: 15 psi 93 octane
Stage 2: 18 psi 93 octane
Stage 3: 22 psi
Stage 4: 26 psi
Stage 5: 30 psi

All the safe faults are built into the software already. It will adjust timing/ boost to safe levels if there isn't enough E. make sure to pickup the fuel pressure sensor. I've seen that thing save soo many motors.

Yeah, I went ahead and got the fuel pressure sensor for that reason when I got all the parts. I was also told it has saved many motors and it was worth the extra 100 bucks or so.

Really only update I have for now, Aric the guy building my car is on his honeymoon so I can only hope my car will be done before Christmas. I found a transmission solution as well...until then I wait. I think I have about 95% of all the parts I need.

So you will not be at the dyno day this coming weekend I take it? You should fly out Thursday and help FailFlora finish his car so that at least he can dyno.

I think the engine bay looks pretty empty right now, because an SR20 motor will pull a premium a week before race wars.
