Default Let’s get Rowdy!

Not really a build thread, but a place for me to keep track of any events I do or small changes I make, although I can’t think of much that needs to be done at the moment. Let’s dive in!

Sunday I got the opportunity to finally fly down to Florida and buy my dream car. I landed in Tampa around 11am and was on my way back to Sevierville by 1pm. I meet Shandelle from V8Roadsters at his house and picked up the 2004 LFX swapped MSM from them. As soon as I saw it go for sale I knew I wanted this car. Fortunately for me I had just sold a house and had some extra cash to play with. I drove the car around the block and fell even more in love. Shandelle and I took care of signing over the title and exchanging the cash and with one more goodbye from her builder Rowdy and I were on our way home!

I was a little nervous to drive a car I was unfamiliar with as far as I did. She did great! The quality of this build is amazing! If someone didn’t know they would probably think it is stock! This motor suits the car so well. I’ve owned and driven many high horsepower Miata’s and this is the best by far! Torque is always available. Cruising at 80 on the freeway all it takes to pass cars is to roll on the throttle. No need to downshift. On my trip home I got almost 30mpg. When you stomp on the gas it feels like it revs forever! The motor really screams from 4K to the 7200 rpm redline. Driving around town the car is tame and feels pretty much like a stock Miata. All of the stock creature comforts work. I really am blown away by how well built this car is.

My plan for the car is just to drive it. She will get daily driven for a lot of the summer. She also will get to go on weekend trips to the Dragon. I can’t wait! It’s great having such an awesome playground in my backyard. Can’t wait til MaTG. I’m hoping to have both this car and my EFR NA there! I also plan on doing a couple of track days a year. I’ve already signed up to be at Gingerman with Kmiata next month. Finally, I’ll be doing as much autocross as possible. I’ll probably switch between my 2 cars for autocross.

If anyone is in the Knoxville, Sevierville, Gatlinburg area and wants to go on a drive, hit me up!

I've always wanted an EFR turbo car, or an LFX swapped one. And you've got both, you bastard!

Here is an autocross video from this weekend. Still learning the limits of the car. She is ridiculously fast!
