The answer I got back from the community was "All of it. Really". In retrospect, this is not a surprise.
I wish I had read your thread before I created mine... you seem like a smart guy and an experienced driver, and you've still had two fairly serious accidents. Just wanted you to know that your honesty above is helping a new driver to hopefully make some good decisions.
Well I'm glad at least that my hard learned lessons might help others avoid learning them the same way. I highly recommend a Simpson Hybrid to anyone serious about their track safety. And I recommend leaving the airbags in the car as long as possible. Street driving with a detachable non-airbag wheel, with a 3point designed with an airbag in mind, is a huge dental bill waiting to happen. It has in fact happened and was posted about on this board. If you want a detachable wheel, get some early non-airbag seatbelts to go with them. It's a whole system; replacing any part of it requires knowing exactly how it all works in order to end up with a system of equivalent safety.
a) chassis is still untouched, other than having brake fluid drained and front brakes removed
b) rear shed area - 1 of 2 shelving units dismantled and ready to go to storage unit
I realized I need to empty out the rear shed area first and get those two shelving units into the storage unit to provide storage for the transition.
Kids are out of school on Friday. All sports schedules are done. The weekends are mine! Sort of, friends from New Zealand are visiting at the end of the month, so I have to empty out the basement bedroom I was planning to use for garage rebuild transitional storage ...
Meanwhile, as minions destroy that shitty concrete pad (2-3", maybe, no steel, on dirt, which is why it's all shattered and heaved), Ms Mobius and I are enjoying Elk Mountain Ranch, near Buena Vista, CO (that's Byou-nuh vista), elevation 9500'. It's the 50th wedding aniversary of my in-laws, and so this is a family get-together and celebration for them. My brother/sisterinlaw are here as well, with the golden child, for those that know that story.
My horse for the week is an awesome large roan gelding named RJ. He knows I'm an inexperienced rider, I know I'm an inexperienced rider, and he generally goes down the trail on autopilot. But I give him the slightest neck rein, the slightest heel nudge, and he responds to give extra space around a tree or whatnot.
Spent 4 hours on RJ today, **** ton of fun, but damn did I hobble like a really old man for 30 minutes after getting off. Right patellar tendon really complains for a while after getting off extended rides.

Ugh, I just saw the post about your accident and the carnage. Sorry to hear. That sucks *****. I wish I had all that awesome safety equipment when I rolled my orange Miata.
