Wow. This thread has really taken off. :-)

Glad you're enjoying everything Gerald. I'll spend some more time with the start up stuff when we relocate the IAT sensor. I was thinking it would be a good idea to go back to a stock crank trigger wheel too, just to remove that variable from the equation.

Nice to hear everyone is impressed by your numbers, guess I'm going to have to put mine on the dyno now too since I'm "breaking all the rules." :-)

Keep me posted about that meet coming up. I'm definitely up for hanging out.

Funny story, I tuned a kids 2001 Mustang Cobra today. He was super excited that it made 330 to the wheels. I got in my miata to go grab some dinner and he caught up to me at the light. Turned right and he put the hammer down. I let him get a full car length in front of me, threw it in 3rd and walked right passed him... The look on his face was priceless.

Stopped at the next light and he asked what was done to it. I told him it's just a little EBay turbo, but it's making about the same power as his car. I thought he was going to crap his pants. Lol

I just pictured that scenario in my head. Like you said, you can't beat the quality of a miata and how affordable they are to Rip The road. I wish it was the first thing I did instead of my aesthetics.
And I'll let you know when I get the other items we need the next time we tune it. I'll hunt down for that wheel.

Also I'm installing this racing beat rear canon brace that was painted over. I wish it was still white instead of the midnight blue that came off the 99. Got a fantastic deal picked up for 60 bucks locally. Thank you craigslist.

Priceless
I remember doing that on my '00 and a C6 corvette. And the guy had his girlfriend in the car who he was trying to impress

I got a thumbs up from a stock wrx after I blew by him. I also diminished a frs simply modded as he was anxious to show me what he's got and I blew off my valve and he timidly declined with his tail under his ***.

I'm putting in an order of autokonexions fender flares. Just one small step to a functional setup

nooooo!

IMHO don't, but it's your car and I'm sure you will make it look great anyways. I just love stock bodied miatas.

Your right but it's just so clean looking it needs an edge. I do plan on getting garage varys nb2 bumper in the future. I do like the Bomex most oem looking aftermarket front bumper but those fit nb1 headlights. I also like the auto exe front bumper.

Autokonexion fastback or GTFO

I kinda want one, but I don't have that much surplus cash lying around.

I agree with fireindc. That was my first thought but decided not to say anything. Its sooo clean as it is, why go mess it up? Lol yes it will look sick but I think your car is perfect visually.

Just my 2 cents.

Fender flares aren't really a "functional" thing on any street miata. You can fit all the tire that's readily available to you under stock bodywork quite easily.

That said... do what makes you happy. I'm sure you'll make it look great.

Yah, but you can't fit that tire on demon cambers on stock fenders.

Exactly my point tekel. I don't want to give them up but the offset isn't functional and I can't put on 225s on. I can get away with 15x8 et. 20 with 225s anything bigger needs flares now AK makes front blisters to widen the fender for a oem look but then what do I do with the rears? Put on flares for the the rears? That looks even more silly then all four flared quarters.

So if I'm selling my wheels I want to have a functional wheel setup. I want to get away with the works that are posted on cr.net specifically the works cro1s

I had a vacuum leak at a plastic t-fitting and i didn't know about it until lasts nights Orlandos meet. The tube was connected to i think the ms. So after that I'm going to be purchasing brass t fittings and replace every plastic connector. I have some back ups in the car and learned a bit more. Remember this is my first turbo and fast car.

Some of you said that the 5speed isn't strong enough for the amount of torque i have? I am installing a 6speed from a msm with 110k miles. I have motorcarft oil for it already and new front and rear transmission seals. Of course the speed sensor will be included and I'll ask about the starter because i read they have a different bolt pattern from a 5speed starter.

Your 5spd should be fine for street use with that power. It's the motor we're worried about.
