I can dig it. My first track day boosted will be nothing more than an exercise in thermal management vs gravity vs ....something.

thumpetto007 04-16-2016 04:13 PM

Yeah, I want to eliminate all the variables except alignment, tire pressure, and driver by the time I get to the track. I'm sure something will pop up, but I'm just looking forward to pushing myself and the car, and finally getting my almost r comps up to temp, lol.

I've never got them higher than 118 degrees, camber seems fine for aggressive driving.

Well, they apparently finally finished their instructions. Take many pics! I will be watching this closely.

Yet another part has arrived... just in case the 105mm pulley isn't enough boost... 95mm is close to maxing out the blower...

Thanks for the PM. Now I am even more confused. I have been driven in two different TDR Rotrex cars. The bracket is what they finished first a looong time ago. They had multiple ones sitting on the shelf 1.5 years ago...

thumpetto007 04-27-2016 12:28 AM

Haha, well, maybe this will help... I wasted 3400 dollars on a kraftwerks rotrex kit.... more like 1400, since I'm only using the actual supercharger (which usually sells around 2000 new)

I'm using the TDR supercharger bracket, TDR intercooler, TDR rotrex oil cooler kit...

Chilicharger665 04-27-2016 04:16 AM

Oh ok. I really like the way they set-up the rotrex oil cooler. Do you have brake ducts run yet? I always wondered if they would work together...

I really want them to finish the engine oil cooler in a similar set-up on the passenger side! As long as it doesn't interfere with brake ducts of course...

thumpetto007 04-27-2016 01:18 PM

No, I don't have brake ducting.

I'm kinda curious about why you're switching radiators. Does the fmic not fit with the 949 rad?

thumpetto007 04-27-2016 03:24 PM

^TDR, nor 949 knew the fitment of the TDR intercooler piping with the Supermiata radiator, so I bought the TDR one just in case :)

Chilicharger665 04-27-2016 06:20 PM

CSF needs to come out with their radiator with the built-in oil cooler already.

Why? So you can pump more heat into the already heavily taxed Miata cooling system?

Chilicharger665 04-27-2016 06:38 PM

Maybe that is why it has been delayed forever :dunno:

thumpetto007 04-27-2016 10:32 PM

not sure what you meant about the csf? coming out?

I just ordered the larger rotrex oil cooler, and the beefier TDR bracket.

thumpetto007 04-27-2016 11:00 PM

flyin miata wanted 33 dollars for 4 spark plugs?!?!? fuck off.

CSF is a radiator company.

CSF announces The "O" Series - CSF Racing

They have been advertising a new radiator with a built-in oil cooler for a long time now.
