I like having the integrated display on the ESP32 board I'm using, but it would be nice to have the voltage converter and CAN transceiver packaged alongside everything else. I've just got modules dangling around. I really need to work on the packaging at some point...

I've had pretty good success getting the ESP32 talking to the ECU. That's largely why I have stuck to OBD since it was supported by the library I found and the G4x.

I use a lot of hot glue.

That day has arrived. Thunderhill needs an overdive, the five speed I have is crunchy going into 5th, so lets see how long this six speed lasts.

You just raised your gearing. 5-speed 5th is .814, 6-speed 6th is .843. You'll have to lower the gearing with a rear end change.

The goal is to survive this 25 hour race, if we place that is a bonus.

Doesn't seem like a huge difference
Top speed @ 6200 RPM
5 speed in 5th 127 mph
6 speed in 6th 123 mph

it's not, you just made it sound like you wanted more gearing, just making sure.

At the very least it'll last longer. Just put a good shifter in it and enjoy! I do not miss T25, although maybe the Lemons version will have more attendance.

Two weekends ago @Z_WAAAAAZ and another team member came over for car prep. I unwrapped our new to us 6 speed, cleaned it up a little, and changed the front seal. Meanwhile my team mates removed the old transmission, waited for me to finish getting the new one ready, then slapped the new one in. 2.5 hours. That would have taken me all day. There is something to be said for youth and experience.

We have a 6'3" driver meeting us at the race, so I raised the roof for him.

Driver sitting in the seat is 6', the taller driver should fit the cage, not sure how comfortable he will be or if he can see out the window.

Fuel cell install is now finished. What a pain.

. .

New frame, new base, moved remote fill to driver side. Hopefully I wont have to do anything else for 5 years.

Since it is a night race, added LED strip lights for door and trunk numbers.

Also added a removable halogen light bar.

Still a bunch of stuff to get done this weekend.
- Chillout cool system install
- Adding fuel pressure, oil pressure, fuel level to Racecapture through analogX
- Double check alignment now car is on ground
- Fix MK60 brake light signal wire which I wired the wrong way
- Theme
- Pack trailer
- Radios
- Mount stereo speakers, facing outwards of course
- Mount LED light display panel to roof
- Maybe add a resonator

The list never ends.

Mo and his strength made that transmission install easier than it should've been. I think we could've done it even quicker if I didn't somehow lose every tool I touched after using it

Very excited for this bit. I'll see if I can make it by again for a couple hours on Saturday. Weekend schedule is already pretty packed..
