Just need to get a driveshaft made and rent a flashing tool for the internal TCU, both of which I should be able to have ready by next week. I ordered another transmission from a local junker for $265 as well. Figured if I have to rent the flashing tool anyways, I might as well flash two transmissions while I have it. Dunno if I'll need a backup trans but would rather be ready than sorry.

NASA SoCal/NorCal crossover event at the new Buttonwillow "Circuit" this weekend. 13 drivers in TT3 and outside temps are gonna top out at 100*. Pray for us

 

if you have the TCU out you can send it to Jesse @ JBTechRacing. He can flash in a day and send right back (though I think he may be out till after pikes peak)

 

Shucks, I already ordered the tool from Rally Road. I'll take a screenshot and check in with him next time. Actually, hopefully there won't be a next time as I'm hoping I won't go through two of these transmissions after being told they're the bees knees haha.

Anyone want an 8.3lb Supermiata MZR flywheel, 6 speed sport organic clutch, or NC2 6 speed transmission for cheap? All driven lightly by my grandma to the store and back on weekends

Annual Bonnaroo season + other vacations have my project on a complete standstill. Still haven’t gotten my transmission mount from Seems Legit either… I really should follow up with that…

 

Don't be so sure. There's still a million things that could go wrong on my end too lol. I feel your pain on the parts delays.

Ended up posting a question re: transmission flashing on the Maxx FB and one of the tuners on there sent me the files needed to flash the TCUs. The normal process is to pull the eeprom, TCU ID, and internal flash from the TCU and send the files to Maxx, so they can keep track of all 8HP users on their hardware, then they'll send you the needed files to flash your TCU. I'm still going to send them said files once I get the flash tool but this should at least speed up the process in case they're AFK/buried with work/etc.
