Thanks man! I do what I can - I know the car is faster than I am, so right now I'm just looking to get as much seat time as possible.
Yep - it's at 12psi. The PO weighed the car before I bought it and it was 2080lbs, but I don't know what conditions he weighed it under (hardtop on or off? driver in the car or not? how much fuel in the tank? etc.) and the car is a lot different now than it was then. I've added the turbo, wider (and heavier) wheels, some interior trim, a dashboard, windows, etc. I'll probably put it on the scale again soon just out of curiosity.

Last winter I did the turbo install, and this winter I'm working on the suspension. My car is in pieces at the moment - brakes removed, suspension out, control arms off the car, and I'm about halfway through installing the Energy Suspension master kit. I repainted the control arms while they were out (pic below) and am adding zerk fittings as well so that I can keep the suspension lubed. When I put it all back together, the JIC Magics are going in.
I've also got frame rails to install, and a hard oil drain line from FM.
Here are a few pics of the car as it sits right now

Cool.. we both own a track miata and a Supra! Mine's a '89 7MGTE (staying that way too). Building the miata AND the Supra is hitting my wallet good. Great looking and FAST build - love the flat black!
Nice vids... I've GOT to get my *** up to Nashville and RA in the next several months. Maybe I'll see you there sometime.

Yep. Not that much additional effort, and good for the peace of mind.
That's great man! I used to have a MKIII Supra too - it was a 1990 NA. I bought it in 1996 with only about 30k on the clock. I found out later it had been in a major accident, but never had any problems with the car (except when it got side swiped by a drunk driver). Here are some pics - the first is one is from my friend who I sold the car to, the second pic is what happened when I left the car in my front yard to sell it.
I'll keep an eye out for you at the track!

I'm building a paint booth in my garage and am about to paint the car, so I figured I would post a few final pictures of the flat black before the new paint job:

Blank out plate I made to hold the Link keypad:

Random interior shot:

I started stripping last night...the paint that is:

This is the beginning to the frame of the paint booth. Once I finish the structure, I'll put up plastic sheeting to close off the booth and use a pair of box fans to circulate air:

Damn, I can't look at the car for looking at your house and garage. What do you do for a living? Why didn't anybody tell me that working in an indie bookstore wasn't going to support all my expensive hobbies?
Thanks man - at the 32 I'm "old" by MT standards, so I guess I've had a little more time to get established, pay off debt, and accumulate cars. As for paying the bills, I'm a male prostitute (aka I work in a corporate office).
I'm 28, so I've got 4 years to catch up with you. Seriously, I'm not complaining...I work in an indie bookstore, I just bought a house (that I can afford), and the only debt I've got are my student loans. I just want more money for frivolous stuff instead of the important stuff. I would've shot myself in the face by now if I was in an office.
At least you got a free set of the '94-'97 brakes Mark
... I'm 36 with 3 girls under 6... I AM in my mid-life crisis, don't know what I'll be when they're in their teens... probably dead, that's why I'm trying to have fun now!
What paint scheme are you thinking?

Porsche Mint Green. It's not for everyone, but hey - neither are Miatas. Since this is my racecar, I figured it was a good opportunity to do something a little bit different. I've got two black cars, a silver, and a white car in my driveway right now...I need some color in my life!

Half of the houses in Atlanta subs look like those or bigger. Looks like the start of a good booth. I'm suprised that your grass is not green by now?? Those must be old pictures?
I'll be posting updates all along the way, so you'll see it here first!
The ultrashields are great - probably as comfortable as hard unpadded metal seats can be. I've driven the car car on a couple of several hour road trips for track events, etc. and it hasn't been too bad.
