Been a long time since I updated this thread. I'll just leave this here.

And its in!

I have been slowly pecking away at finishing everything up this week. Waiting on a few final parts to come in, and the square top and VC are out for powder coat.

Slowly making progress getting this thing back together. Seems like every step closer to getting the motor back together I decide to change some minor detail. Found that one if the valve cover bolts was stripped so that needed a helicoil.

Got the new exhaust in yesterday too.

Eventually I'll have the tip replaced with something smaller diameter, but it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

I'm going to guess 164whp Dynojet SAE corrected on CA91

That's about what I'm figuring too, a (hopefully) bombproof 165ish on pump gas. Maybe 170 on corn. Corn + C30-71? Who knows!

If Church tunes it, divide by 1.1 for SAE corrected Dynojet value

Probably going on a dynapack at Blacktrax in sunnyvale. I'm guessing 145-150 on that dyno, it reads really low.

Motor is broken in and tuned. Finally hit the dyno yesterday at Blacktrax. It's a heartbreaker, typically about 8-9% lower than MCE at Thunderhill.

Came in right about where I expected.

Its a riot to drive! Some corn and a test pipe should wake this thing up even more.

I also picked up a TCM hard top and gave it a vinyl wrap.

How was the vinyl wrap, i've never tried but want to. Was it your first time?

I worked at a sign shop a long time ago so I have some vinyl skills. With 2 people and a hair dryer it's pretty damn easy.

This is the first time I wrapped something this size and I did it by myself in 45 mins. It's not flawless, but it looks good enough for me.

C group MMRLS is gonna be fun this year.

I'm going to have to turn up the boost to have more power than you...1.6 lyfe.

Mine is currently plastidipped and looks quite decent IMO. Been wanting to wrap it for a while though.

After turning my old hood into a taco because I'm an idiot and I forgot to pin it :cry2: I replaced it with a buddies black factory aluminum hood.

Decided to go a different direction on the the hood venting this time. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it. Most importantly it works. Cruise temps dropped 10*. Behold, more shitty pictures I took!

Mocked up getting ready to get my rivet on

Finishing up the installation

Painted and installed with home made gurney flap
