Here's the video with exhaust sound! Idle, some revs, full throttle to 8500 RPM!

 

Did some project planning today. Got a decent amount of parts ordered. Still more planning and parts to get ordered.

I'm going to look into doing an MR2 EHPS swap. Looks like that could be a good option to keep PS but get rid of the pump.

 

Just took one of those systems out. While on paper it looks good, I have no idea how Toyota made them work in the MRS, PWM maybe? It was incredibly loud and obnoxious, and not very powerful.

I would look into the assisted column.

 

Which version were you running, the one from the 90's, or from the 00-06?

 

Just took it out of a customers car for complaints, 00-06 I think? Is the earlier one quiet? Makes sense, cause otherwise I have no idea why everyone would recommend it

 

Do you have a pic of it by chance? I read the early ones were loud, the newer ones are much quieter as they are brushless DC and PWM controlled instead of on/off.

Got a question for you guys. I need coilovers... Looking for an entry level setup. What should I consider? I'm just street driving and drag racing it.
