Personally I think that would be pretty awesome. Please share more info on the sensor/airbox.

What info would you like?
Currently its a 197408-0010 MAF

http://www.ebay.com/itm/JAGUAR-XJ8-M...2#ht_500wt_969

I put it inside this

Amazon Amazon

I finally figured out my rich at idle issue!
I ended up turning the injector dead time at 13.2v down to .750ms from 1.2ms that was in the base tune from diy.
I'm using rx7 460cc injectors

I was able to idle at 15afr around 1.5xx pw 900~ rpms 28kpa just fine.

Is that under "engine constraints"-"injector opening time"?

Mine gives me a warning with anything below .9

I see you have a MS1, more then likely its the same thing open\dead\lag time.
Under MS2extra it is
basic setup > injector characistics > injector dead time.

Picture of my car setup

I need to put a recircurlating valve in there.

A look at the datalog

You can see AFR is around 15.x~
AFr target is 13.0
so find the percent difference between the two.
And add that much % difference between those two in grams a second in those areas.
There you tuned that area part

That looks nice. Now, can you explain it like I'm 5? It seems from reading this that MAF is a lot easier, so why do these aftermarket ECUs use MAP? VTA BOV can't be the only reason.

You can run VTA bov with a maf provided the maf is behind the BOV.
There are different reasons as to why you would use speed density over maf
Package constrants, racing, reliability, etc.

Most people that would go install a standalone do it because either they need it for racing or their stock ecu can't handle the increase in power.

I personally am after repsonce and good feel.

You can see how the pressure spikes but maf isn't as effected as much. My fueling was rock steady

I tested my 460cc RX-7 injectors with the switching between the number of squirts before I went sequential and got 1.185 ms with MS2.

I heard of that but thats still way to close to 1.2ms.
And I couldn't idle anything but rich like that.

A 1.8 MSM runs around 3-6 grams/s at idle from what I hear

at 1.2ms I was hitting .30grams a second at idle, yeah thats not right

at .750 ms i idle around 2-3 grams a second with no real load.
Now the only load on the car is the alternator, one fan and lights if they are on, plus heater\vent

So i figure I"m in the ok seeing as I'm a 1.6l

I am a 1.6 too - thats strange. I thought the change of squirts method wozld be quite accurate.

Also I feel MAF is a better way to measure air, considering the engine is but an airpump, to make more power, you need to flow more air.

Zaphod I heard the same, didn't try it out though.

radiator installed and my coolant temps stay better under boost. Still want to do coolant reroute. All aluninum radiator crossflow, 3inches wide, 22 inches long, 19 inches height. My MS2 is setup using MAF for fuel and MAP for spark. Eventually I will create a spark table using MAF instead for load. Way easier to tell where you are at on a turbo compressor map now, atleast for me. I've made a how to guide for maf fueling on megasquirt. I had to swap to a different MAF becaues the other one died, got it from a local garage with it probably being a bad one already. Using a N62 nissan maf, good for a supposed 350hp worth of air mass flow. Now I just need to get my idle working again.

I have my doubts considering a lot of the info I saw when I went to find out if there was any info on the injector dead times pointed to .75ms at 13v. That and the formula to find airflow at idle agrees with my current idle airflow for my engine size.
