I have had slicks on the back/radials on the front for years. He is not going fast enough for it to be a serious safety hazard. My car seemed to sway a little bit on radials, but it was not unsafe. I have since switched to skinnies. I do not think that handling improved much with skinnies.

The car really got scary when I removed the front sway bar. I know that most drag racers remove it, but I do not recommend it.

worked on the car all weekend trying to get it back together. I spend all Saturday fighting an electrical problem but got it to fire later that night after we fixed a short and hooked up the fuel lines the right way. Once i knew it would run i started on the exhaust but it was getting too late.

Here is a pic from Sunday morning, decided to double check a few things I had done the night before. :

I was going to run just down pipe but decided to throw a glasspack on so I could do some tuning around the neighborhood. Also I was getting too much exhaust inside the car since the downpipe was really short.

Pic of my crappy exhaust:

This dumps right in front of the drivers side tire.

Sunday night the car was finally drivable but there something wrong with the headlights so I only took a quick drive around my yard hanging out the window with a flash light. Also there is a lot of valve train noise but its slowly going away the longer I run it.

My friends actually tried to take one but all you see is a white light moving around in the woods plus valve train noise and laughter.

Car is not quite done yet but we loaded up on the trailer and started heading south. While loading the car on the trailer the heater core blew and filled the drivers side floor full of coolant. Just what I wanted. So when I get to the hotel hopefully we can fix the car and take some pictures.

Just loop the line in the engine bay, then pull dash/heater core there for weight reduction

Sad I'm not going to be down there this year. No chatting about MS or fixing boost/ebc issues

What a crazy weekend. Miata was 7 in the Autocross, 13 in the concourse, and 7 overall. There were a lot of awesome car this year that were very well built so competition was tough. I'm really surprised I placed as well as I did as the car had a few issues and I was way too busy working on our other project. I never even got around to installing the bigger turbo.

Now what I spent most of the weekend working on was out 1995 lowered turbo Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep actually placed 15th over all. I'll post more details about everything when we get back to MA.

Thanks! I’ve just decided its time to move on to another project. Maybe even another challenge car. I’m thinking E30 or finish one of the other projects I already have. One thing I can guarantee is that it will be cheap.
