4 piston rears is better than 6 piston fronts.

The 6 pistons are more money, not needed, and pads are rediculously more expensive.

We have plans to release a gen2 11.75" BBK with our own proprietary hat which allows for 15x9 6UL wheel clearance without a spacer. Pricing will come in line with the kits released since our kit came to market in 2011. Looking to release in March.

Yep. I tried them in 2009. Better pedal feel and a very small improvement in pad life for huge initial and ongoing cost increases. If you must have the best, they are the best, but they are not cost-effective.

Here's a wild-*** thought. Keep your brakes as-is, get decent pads/fluid and go hit the track.

Interested. What's your target price if you don't mind sharing?

Aidan - is that question not already answered in Sav's post?

I'm curious about that too. I think I'm not going to order the BBK yet.

I really just want to built it right the first time.

For stock power and street tires I would belay worrying about brakes this year.

Hate to add to the wet blanketness, but I agree. I'd worry about building your car first, going to the track, and finding out if you need a BBK or not.

I totally understand the "shiny pretty thing" wants for a BBK, but I myself still haven't found the need for it yet.

Then again I am prioritizing spending money and purchases on making my engine bomb proof on the track.

Build the car, then upgrades imho.

Well, he's certainly not machining the calipers, so what he's referring to as being "almost finished", is the brackets themselves, Rhom is making them.

This for sure. Biggest "waste" is a set of pads, but you'll go through a set with the wilwoods anyways, so really there's no waste of money.

Either 1.8 or sport brakes will be fine for a few years. Luke and Nail are barely starting to find the limits of the 1.6 brakes with cobalts.

This morning, ready to hit the road

Loaded up and ready to head home

Tucked safely in my driveway

Sooo.... the car is fairly kinda rough. No rust at all which is great, but it's been repainted in the back (poorly, beginning to flake) and every panel has some sort of significant defect, be it a deep scratch or ding or something.

But hey, it's got the full suspension and brakes and a bunch of other stuff and it was $550. It'll do.

Josh. I need you. Please take some of my money and help me.

Grats Ed. I will throw in what assistance I can. Full subframe swap ftw unless you bent yours.

Rear subframe? Should be fine. It's almost tempting to swap my ABS into this car. Thankfully EO2k bought one essential piece I would need so I won't undertake that.

Harness is all there. Several PNP MS2s have popped up recently. Shall I pick one up?
