Default Diy m62 metalbashing disaster

So in england we have a 4 day weekend once a year in april. Like a **** i said in the supercharger forum that i'd diy a bracket and put an m62 on my vvt mk1 over said 4 days. It didnt happen.

I have an eaton m62 laying around. Its in questionable condition, but they are currently on ebay for 300 quid delivered... this one came off some merceedes.

And the whole top mount blower above the exhaust bracket contraption cant be anywhere near as simple as a flat plate where the aircon pump used to go.. you can even use the power steering pump as a tensioner which it already is. Noone in england needs aircon in a convertible come on now why

So here is where the 4 day metalbashathon got this now half finished project

Lots of prototypes with the plywood.
The routine is pretty dialled. Cad up the part on the computer, print a 1:1 drawing, stick to wood and then cut out with jigsaw. Then realise the blower doesnt fit and modify the drawing slightly. Repeat many times until happy to make the steel bracket.

Oxy cut out of 10mm thick mild steel. Its rough but the holes are in the right place which is what counts. I have a drawing though so can get this cnc plasma'd later,

ebay flanges, some cylindrical standoffs, and the mounting plate assembled on the bench.

So basically i have about 10mm of vertical freedom and fuckall toward and away from the engine.
The outlet is aimed the right way for some stupid simple intake plumbing but the outlet flange baarely clears the subframe. And i cant lift it higher because i need to clear the coolant inlet to the water pump.

And. The blower inlet is not in an optimal spot. At all.

Somehow i thought id have more room than this to work with but i spent the whole time mocking it all up with the exhaust out to give room to work and of course itll clear we have loads of room like why even check im never wrong

I can just about get a 2.5in tube down there parallell with the exh runners. But it needs to enter a 120x40mm rectangular blower inlet then take 2 90 degree turns at the same time on different axis to maybe clear the frame rail while the engine is flapping about

Basically dont do it this way unless you like metalbashing and intake temps
