Ended up redoing the exit a little bit. All the discolored pieces are from my 1.6 downpipe and exhaust I cut that **** up and reused the straight sections. I offered to sell it to some local Miata owners but stance is lyfe around here.

Is exhaust after door a track requirement? I thought you'd just let it dump at the bumper

That is for the brake lights, in line with the rear brake line. Keeping the wires short and simple. 12v going to it and when I step on the brake pedal, closes the circuit and we have lights

Well I really wanted to, it would've made things easier. But yes, NASA rules state it must exit away and behind the driver. I specifically asked if I could run it through the bumper and they told me no. Probably one of those things if I never would have said something it could have been overlooked

are your rear tires rated for 150+? I still remember that day like it was yesterday.

Built a little shroud yesterday for the fans. Gonna tackle the front clip mounting this weekend.

Pardon the terrible handling car. I never set the car up, I put it on scales to get rough starting put for springs, installed said springs then it was never set back on the scales. Soooo the corner weights are all jacked, ride height, camber, toe...none of it...rolled it in the trailer and ran it lol. Also, I need to buy a different shifter or relocate it. I couldnt get it right 75% of the time, very low boost, only running about 6-7 psi. The car wasnt tuned, just has a base with some auto tuning done... just send it

When the car was overheating the first session, I killed power and coasted off to the pits via a "bypass" portion of the track. Then after we got the over heating fixed, I went back out. Not after missing 3 sessions though, then as soon as I came around for the first lap he blacked flagged me. And was like why do you keep taking the bypass? That's why i was so pissed, I hadn't even been on track since the morning. Once I said there were two cameras on the car he didn't have much to say about it

This sounds lovely!

Are you using a steering quickener?

No, stock manual Miata rack. I think I'm going to have to add power steering. Or start getting yoked at the gym, it's a monster trying to fight it, but it's damn fun

Was this with our without the fan shrouds? On track I believe you'll be much better off without the shrouds.

Edit: I see you fixed the overheating. What was the solution?

Car sound is phenomenal.

Thank you! The fan is shrouded with two 12" spal pullers. Currently I am relying 100% on the fans and shroud to keep the temps under control. I don't have any ducting going to the radiator yet, since it's in the trunk I haven't yet wrapped my head around ducting air to it yet.

A faulty radiator cap was the culprit this time

Track personnel seemed all about "you're an *******" rather than "hey, how can we help you have a great track day." Admittedly, I have a pretty good relationship with all the track personnel here in the NW at the tracks I attend, but damn, I don't think any of our personnel would treat you the way you were treated at that event.

did a little 1/2 mile airstrip racing yesterday. Went 167mph at 15psi... I couldn't get any more out of the spring and boost controller so I improvised ****** spiked up to 26 psi before it blew off the charge pipe, 4 times in a row. Car had no front bumper, no wing, tires sticking out past the fenders... if I actually spent some time I think 200mph will be pretty easy.
