A slow build for NASA TTC glory! Or how to waste lots and lots of money to lose....

Nope, it was wobbly as ****. When we pulled the pulley the paint was worn off the back and it had worn holes in the timing belt cover.
Being too lazy to disassemble it, I tried a half-*** "keyway" fix. If it doesn't work, I'll suck it up over winter and buy a VVT and MS3 and call it good.
So yesterday we cleaned out the keyway and damaged key. Jammed the keyway/sprocket full of Loctite 660, hammered the key back in, more Loctite 660.....new crank bolt with Red Loctite and hit it with the impact.
It's going to Hallett on Sunday, so we will see if it works.

So we put 10 sessions on the car, the pulley has started wobbling again (at least we got today out of it) but it was also pissing oil from the front crank seal, and seemed to be more and more down on power as the day went on.
But we still ended the day early with a trashed right front wheel bearing.
Needless to say, I'm absolutely pissed at the guy that misrepresented the engine I bought.
I'm also not very happy an ART hub only lasted ~26 track sessions.
Follow up, the 800/500 949 BGK was ******* AWESOME! I can't wait to see how quick we can get the car once it's not using a dying 1.6.
