Looking very nice Carlos. I will have a third turbo to send out to you later this week. I need to pull it apart and take some measurements before it gets sent.

Thanks! Unfortunately the compressor outlet is in a slightly different position and I cut my 90 coupler too short to reach. I have a hump coupler I could use to give me some wiggle room, but I don't like them which is why I didn't use it originally.
What do you guys think of hump couplers, do they eff up the flow? Especially for the purpose of this test, when I want to keep everything as consistent as possible.
I may have to order a new coupler on Monday.

They allow movement better than a straight coupler.

Yes, but will it change the flow characteristics of my charge piping?

I am guessing yes.

I must admit, I am much more of an engineye or enginose than an enginear.

But we're both guessing and the whole point of this is to have as equal a comparison as possible. If I just get the coupler it will be the same, instead of introducing a new sudden increase then decrease in diameter shortly after the compressor housing.
Just sayin'

If you're going to ultimately just post VD plots there's enough other variables in play that you'll waste your money IMO. I agree with @aidandj.

I am ultimately going to use the same real dyno I used before and run the same tune except for EBC. I want as few variables as possible.

Had to cut my porting short this weekend due to local noise ordinance, but I finished this morning before work. I can't remember how I cleaned the thing last time. Hopefully I can get it back together and in tonight. I need to work on my taxes this week though.

New log, still need to play with it a bit but my initial impression is that is spools much slower. That being said it still feels pretty nice. I am not happy with my charge pipe configuration but I have a new coupler on the way.

Yep I expected spool on it to be a bit slower. The compressor side is HUGE.

it looks similar to my 3076 from years ago. in which case 300-400hp should be not too unrealistic at full tilt

the compressor on that thing was nuts

I have a third turbo for Carlos to try out. I need to take it apart to measure the compressor blades to see specs for sure. Scott thinks it should be the same size as a TD04.

So that was an initial test drive and my wife was bugging me to go to the store while I was putting it back together. I used the hump coupler but it makes more of a kink than a wiggle, I am really not happy with it. I am going to try to move some of the charge piping slightly before work to see if I can get rid of the kink. I honestly think spool will improve with the new coupler, arriving tomorrow, or if I can fix that kink.
One thing I will say is it is way harder to get the bottom left nut on the T3 flange around that huge compressor. I got it but the original turbo comes on and off ez pz by comparison.

I highly doubt it.
Unless it's kinked to like half it's ID

Spool still shouldn't be affected that much. Maybe top end flow.
