Thanks for the pic of the Wilwood master. My kit from V8R came without any instructions, and even though it seemed pretty self-explanatory, I was scouring the internet for pictures of the lines so I didn't fuck something up. The line exiting from the top of the tee is the one running down to the front left caliper, correct?

Im still not finished developing my old motor! I put in a 264 inatake cam and raised the rev limit. This is untuned so i expect a few more once i get it tuned and hopefully i can pull some of the bottom end back up with the cam gears.

So this is with that crazy radically ported head you were working on?
|
No this is on my "old motor" rather normal ported ports and +1mm valves. i simply did a baseline pull then dropped in an intake cam at the dyno and did a pull.
On the subject of my new motor the billet mains should be coming in tomorrow :) |

its been a while i suppose.
Little run down on things. N/a power is great and im sure i will miss it but everyone around me has stepped it up and i need to keep up somehow. here is was in its last form https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1b70a5ac44.jpg |
First things first was getting an intake manifold setup.
I had Mike at Chantham build me up a honda ultra manifold with a little extra anngle upwards to match the port runners https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1349606e0b.jpg While that was happening i strapped the c30-74 rotrex to the side of the engine and built a 3 inch intake for it. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a6c7f65331.jpg My intercooler finally showed up after being back ordered for a while. its a Treadstone tr8 https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...cf122527c6.jpg |

Intake manifold on and it should lead to an interesting cold side charge pipe.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a45cfbee57.jpg Hot side plumbed up with a turbosmart 34mm diverter so i shouldnt see any boost off throttle at high rpm. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...06a6e6b98b.jpg |

Well im starting a new engine build. clearances will be tight so i needed too see what the valve overlap looked like.
i shortened up a timing belt and adapted a tensioner to the head so i could better watch how the valve move inside the head. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1456809829 With your permission, im dying to troll miata club facebook page with this pic. |

No way dewd, I have an electric motor on the rear of the exhaust cam hooked up to my megasquirt. Infinitely variable timing.

I haven't laughed so much in a while. Tarek, I owe you some stickers.

new c30-74 miata record?

Time to break down your motor specs sir. Likecat awarded.

Blowed up the headgasket
I was at Sonoma last week and during my last session I noticed the car tried to spin me out for no apparent reason. So, I slowed down after the carousel and saw my racepak alarm go off as my coolant temps were climbing. Must be a coolant leak I thought. Got to about 215 degrees and shut it down and had the track workers open my hood and look for a leak. They couldn’t seen anything but there was coolant down the side of my car finally got in an my coolant ant resivoir was full to the top. Clearly a lifted head or blown gasket. Replaced the coolant and drove it home no problem. Flash forward pull the head and cleary heat passed the fire ring and got into the coolant jackets. So a new non modified gasket went in with new studs. |
Some new revisions under the hood aswell. New intake setup and good side because everyone complained. Also vented the bpv to atmosphere it didn’t lower intake temps but I’m sure it’s better than pumping hot air into the intake when out of boost https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...98de0dc4c.jpegOld intake https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1624f2c61.jpegNew intake https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...84d911003.jpeg |
