Ian makes good points. Personally if I'm putting the harness in, it will always be a six point, as I don't want to put the jools at risk. I'm done having children, but still ...
$200 is inexpensive. I went with Schroth as well, it was considerably more than $200, but worth it. |
Ok, thanks for the input guys. 6pt it is.

I'll play devils advocate. Any certified harness will keep you safe. You spend more for usability. Adjusting a schroth is way nicer than adjusting a g-force.
I've used both 6pt and 5pt. Barely noticed a difference. I'd run either. I see its an EVO. What kind of sub belt holes does it have? |

If its a single sub belt hole then a 6 point just gets squished into a 5pt anyways.

this is what it looks like. It seems there is enough room for 2?

The Schroth anti-sub in my car (Recaro seat) looks like this:

mine looks the same is Ian's

So I've narrowed down my options. I really have to stay around the $200 mark so I'm ok with giving up some of the refinement of a nicer harness.
This: https://www.saferacer.com/collection...nt=25897477507 or this: https://www.saferacer.com/collection...nt=25897132675 there is a 6pt version of the g-force too so keep that in mind. I also could get this but its not FIA rated: https://www.saferacer.com/collection...nt=25896623299 |
I've got gforce pro 5 points in the Exofish, you're welcome to try them out if you want. The adjustability is not terrible, but I would get something better next time (I got my current harness's for $70 a set, new from Amazon when they priced them wrong last year).

I've used 6-points from Willans, G-Force, and Schroth in my own cars. The Schroth belts are substantially more comfortable downstairs. It has to do with how the sub belts are woven, since they twist and sit on the inside of your thighs instead of directly on your babymakers like everyone else's. They are more than $200, though.

You're buying a HNRS, right?

Please excuse the ignorance but what does HNRS mean? Google wasn't helpful.

Head and Neck Restraint

My G-Force 6 points were uncomfortable to the point of bruising my thighs. Just got my Schroth 6pt. no comparison. They were 415.00 with custom mounting options. 700 if you count the G-Force that cheaped out on and bought first. Schroth's safetey studies on the 2" vs. 3" lap belt was also a compelling argument.
