I would pull the oil line and check for blockage. Take some pics of the oil line. And where its drilled.

This. The oil drain is massive. So I don't think it is kinked or clogged. It just seems to huge to cause any issue.
Paging Savington. |
Lolol. If thats on the cold side then someone poured some oil in your intake piping as a joke.
|
The oil gathers on my coldside as well. He clearly stated he only removed one coupler. There is likely oil all throughout his intake piping. I am having this exact same issue. I was hoping the bigger oil drain would solve it but I have not tested it yet on my setup.

Your email said coldside. Oil in the coldside doesn't come from the turbo. Is the hotside wet?

Unless your intercooler was previously filled with oil. |
in the coupler that connects to the throttle body there was little oil. but none in the trottle body itself

This was in the throttle body tho. |
Actually, there is oil in the throttle body. I just had to take it off to see it.
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...5df5fab387.jpg I have a feeling all of this oil was from before I installed the catch can. Thats the only thing that makes sense to me. |
Whats the inside of the intake look like? That looks gnarly lol.
New intercooler? Or used? Did you cut any aluminum pipes? |
often times intercoolers have that alum dust in them. gotta flush em thoroughly before installing
*edit: and you bought that ebay intercooler used too. did you clean it out? |

How much blowby do you have? Thats a sweet amount of oil lol.
I would flush everything with mineral spirits and reinstall. And see if you get more oil. |

I made my own oil catch can because I was bored and wanted something to do. Within how many miles should I start to see oil in there?

This is how I ghetto rigged the catch can (temporary spot). I think I set it up wrong. Its just connected to the PCV valve and is VTA. Probably gonna get flamed. hehe :giggle:
http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...f.jpg~original I still need to swap out my stock pads and rotors for a new set. The pads are glazed over from the track and my rotors are slightly warped. I am going to be doing that this weekend if it doesn't rain.

I'm not sure if it's related but you might also want to address your crankcase ventilation setup. Ideally you want the crankcase and valve cover both vented with large ports to avoid oil blowing through. It's more complicated to set it up 'green' with it being routed back into the intake but either way I think it's worth looking into.
