Winter Turbo Build - Custom Equal Length Tial V-band Goodness!
It is a hangar for the IC or exhaust, clever will have to keep that in mind for the next installation.
I make my hangars that are welded to the exhaust from 3/8" stainless tubing and use conpression fitting cones to keep the ruber hangars from slipping out. https://picasaweb.google.com/m/viewe...16082606463794

Time to get this back on the first page!
I have some updates, but not many...
Here is the answer to the mystery part - its part of an "exhaust side movement restrictor system" that I came up with. Should keep the exhaust off the bumper!!

Built an SS exhaust brace:

Been working on the coolant reroute, had to make a few brackets to keep the hose away from the throttle linkage etc. The GM hose was definitely not a direct fit!

Welded up a fitting for the BOV:

...and a splice for the lower radiator hose

Another titanium heat shield for the brake MS:

And finally some heater hose splices which I made on the lathe:

Oh yeah and it makes 14 psi at 3150 rpm, on a totally stock 1.8 and a GT2860RS, which I believe is pretty good...
BUT, because of the boost creep issues, I am going to try a .86 housing. If that works but kills my spool too much, I guess I will go to a 44mm gate and a shorter dump tube route.

I feel like everyone with a Miata has 6ULs (not knocking them at all, they are sweet wheels, just saying) and these are about the only other 15x9 +36, and they are only 2 lbs heavier than the 6ULs (14.75). And I got the set of 4 for 500 shipped - about $300 cheaper than 6ULs.
