I am proud to announce that the car is up and running! It needs a little more tuning/fiddling before i am going to go into boost, but everything is going well so far.
Overall, i like the ms2 over the ms1 once i got it all set up.
The turbo sounds like its ready to go, its starts whistling just above 2000 rpms, so spool numbers look promising.
Ill take more pictures of the entire setup installed soon for everyone, and more pictures as i add more things.
Next on the list is to make a new undertray, and a new cold air box/headlight vent.

You wanted pictures??
Heres a picture post!!
Did a good amount of driving today, hour long freeway drive and back . Everything ran pretty well, veanalyze live was doing its thing. I got a little stumble while cruising every couple minutes where the afrs were dropping for a second, then back up to around 15 like i wanted, don't know what's going on there but i took logs so I'll figure it out later when im working on the tune. I also have to fix my decel and accel settings, I get a pop every once in a while when i let off the gas.
Hit overboost about four times, which is set at 10 psi about (180-200 kpa i forget). I am super excited with how the turbo is working so far. Like i said before, it whistles along at like 2000 rpms, and on the highway whenever i gave it gas from cruising at about 3400, it hit overboost almost immediately. I could hear it sucking A LOT of air, in a good way.
I have to loosen up the wastegate, don't want to blow the motor up yet...
Onto the pictures:
Manifold getting some nice color, also I am going to make either a little bracket with rubber grommet to hold the oil feed, or cover the line with silicone hose. I will probably cover with silicone hose for now.
Heres a picture of the cold side ic piping:
Front intercooler pic:
Picture of bottom of the intercooler/under engine. One of the next things i need to do is make a new undertray. I have some aluminum diamond plate im going to use.
Picture of current gauge setup. Also on the to do list is a new 6-gauge holder to go in this spot. Will get oil temp water temp oil pressure and a clock to go along with afr and boost.
Pic of exhaust from the back:
And a couple pictures of the exhaust routing underneath the car:
The short list of things to do:
Undertray
Gauge holder
go-pro roll bar mount
install tein flex-just purchased from da chop
Things to buy next:
trackspeed radiator
gauges
coolant reroute
Enjoy!!! Let me know if you guys want pictures of anything specific.

Just came inside from trying to fix my overboosting wastegate problem. Turns out that Treadstone Performance Engineering sent me a high boost canister instead of a low boost canister. Now i have to wait for them to be open on monday to fix the problem for me. A little bit pissed, mostly because i can't really drive the car yet.

It's really bad because it's more than just a wrong spring. The internal wastegates are a self contained unit that has a part number on each one.
Whatever, I might put my medium boost wastegate back on which came with the turbo, and I'll see what they do to fix the problem.

I bolted the flange to another piece of 1/2 inch stainless I have that has all the bolt holes but not the ovals cut out. I'm not sure if a head would work better, but being a larger piece of aluminum it might pull out the heat better. I think that turbotim bolts his manifolds to a head when welding.
I still had to surface my manifold, it warped a little bit. My favorite way of doing it is using a large disc or belt sander with a fresh belt.
Also, whether you're using mild or stainless, I would try to use a 1/2 flange for minimal warpage, and so that you have more material left over after surfacing. If you are interested, I have 1/2 inch stainless flanges for sale on my website in my sig.

Yeah Ive been to your site a few times.
Im in Australia though.... Id gladly buy T2 flanges and head flanges from you if you could even match local prices. Reckon you could PM me a price for say...5 sets of head flange and T2 flanges shipped to Sydney? Id be pretty keen.
Thanks heaps,
Dann

Little bit of an update. I put the medium boost wastegate back on and have it set to 9 psi now. It pulls pretty good, but i have to adjust my Accel enrichments. I also have to diagnose a pesky tps problem, and my after start enrichments and starting settings.
Used tein flex just arrived today in the mail from da chop! And I ordered a Trackspeed radiator, but it's currently out of stock.
Things i want to finish before radiator gets here:
Coolant reroute figured out (need to buy all pieces)
Undertray
Install coilovers

Ordered all my coolant reroute parts today, begi spacer and water neck, stant superstat, and dayco hose. Thanksgiving break I'm going to install the coolant reroute and the tein flex, and possibly make my new undertray.
