Default zipstrips turbo build MS GT25 14psi

my home kit was built off a ebay cast manifold, with a t2 flange welded on top of the T3. MSD 550cc's with honda reisitor box wired in. SARD BOV, MS ecu.

manifold test fit.

t3 to t3 complete

fmic fitment

oil return -an welded

5bolt to Vband.. this is the only part i dont like on my build.. will be redoing my downpipe when i can..

-an welded for turbo water lines

note water lines, sensor bung welded for AEM gauge too, oil feed....

VC -an fittings welded

turbo outlet pipe made

almost finished

done! hot side pipe sitting a little low but its good for now. FMIC is set back. hard to see but its there..

good for now. but my clutch is slipping as i raised boost to a final 14 psi.. looking to order up some forged internals for a rebuild(just because), 949 twin disc clutch, and an os diff... hope you enjoyed. wish i got more photos but it was a quick weekend. thanks to my good friend duff for helping we swap the MS out of my other miata to the boosted one!

Looks like a nice budget build with that ebay t3 mani. Hows it drive?

I'm a little torn here: its a nice build, but

- you used a quality garrett turbo with a cheap ebay log mani
- you converted the mani to t2 when there is a crazy amount of nice t3 turbos available
- you're rebuilding dinky 1.6 then buying a baller clutch and baller diff

Do you have split personality disorder? lol

i may..

the garrett was aquired off a trade so i decided to use the "free" turbo

i really wanted to use a t2 like a 28 or 30... but that t25 fell into my lap

i have 1.6's and 1.8 blocks to play with.. rebuilds are really cheap and i do just about everything myself.
(have a 1.8 ready for rebuild, a 10:1 supertech eagle rod 1.8l shotblock ready, and FM t2 log manifold.. so its only a matter of time to try out some combos. i never gave the 1.6l a chance in my blue miata.. my bother has a boosted 94 too. just playing with some parts laying around. and i really pushed to complete it before i deployed to afghanistan.. im here now and hae until next september to decide where its headed.. clutch and diff are something i can carry over to any of my setups.)

Fireindc- drives great! im really pleased with the outcome. i need to get some better bends and redo my downpipe. maybe drop back to a 2.5DP for better clearance if needed..

Miatera- thank you! 3" dp to a jackson racing cat/ catback.. (came with the car)

I see. In that case yeah I'd highly recommend switching to one of the 1.8's

This is what I'm in the process of doing. 1.6 was VERY fun though, no doubts about that.

PM me the savings please, i could always order a ms1 and build it with this DB.. it would be more then enough to replace the Oem ecu in my 90 beater... it would be even better if i can build it while im working over here..
