Default 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS - $11,000

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS for sale, in USA - Montana.

Asking price is $11,000

The time has finally come when I am ready to part with my baby. It's a Black Diamond Pearl 1999 2.5RS with a 2005 ej205 out of a wrx wagon. I believe the body has 113k on it. I'm looking to get $11,000 for the car. Trades for a miata plus cash are a possibility as well. On to the mods list:

Engine
2005 wrx ej20 w/~43k on it
Perrin turbo inlet hose
AEM short ram intake
Sti Group N motor and tranny mounts
Megan Racing 3.5" Downpipe
Tuned to 16 psi (will probably be retuned to 17psi after the uppipe)
CX Racing fmic
Injen uppipe (not installed but will be at time of sale)

Trans
Stock RS transmission with Exedy Stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel

Suspension
GP Moto Coilovers
Sti 20mm rear sway
Perrin rear endlinks
MRT 22mm front sway for turbo xmember
Rear strut tower bar
02 wrx front brake upgrade w/slotted rotors all around

Exterior
Rally Armor Mudflaps
v6 replica lip
Jdm spats
Jdm tails
Jdm corners
fog light covers
DIY hollowed grill with RS badge
painted OEM headlights
painted side markers and turn signals
17x7.5 ASA KA37 wheels powdercoated gloss black
215/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE01R

Interior
Corbeau A4 seats
NRG short hub
Momo Drifter steering wheel
AEM UEGO wideband
Prosport Boost gauge
Kartboy short shifter
OEM carbon fiber dash trim kit
Wrx pedals
Infinity Kappa rear speakers
Reupholstered suede door panels

I may be forgetting something but I think that's it. The car will come with the stock steering wheel though. Keeping the momo for my next car, where it'll fit better haha.

Why am I selling it?
I want a MIATA!

Try NASIOC.com if you haven't posted up there. I didn't see it, but maybe you already did.

$11k might be around the "fair" price for a swapped 2.0 liter. Unfortunately, the harder selling point is you didn't get the rest of the WRX drivetrain.

Good luck! It's beautiful looking in the pics.

I kept my RS drivetrain because it's just as strong as a wrx drivetrain. It's been argued that the RS tranny is possibly even stronger than the 02-03 wrx "glassbox" and I prefer the shorter RS gearing. It's all in how you drive it.

I haven't posted it on Nasioc and chose to post it here because I'm going to buy a miata when I sell it, and have a friend locally that's interested in it. If he were to back out, my next move would be to try a trade and cash with a miata owner. Looks as if he's going to go through with it though, so I should be in my very own miata soon!

Plus, no offense to Nasioc but there are a lot of douchebags on there and I'd rather see the car go to someone who's not going to go "floss it to his bros" and beat the hell out of it. I want to see the car go to an enthusiast who'll respect it for what it is and take it in an even better direction. I really shouldn't care since it's not going to be my car anymore regardless, but damn it she's my baby haha.

I know when I sold my wagon, I cared who ended up with it b/c of my reputation and pride that went into the car.

The reason I suggested NASIOC is the number of folks that like the pre-2002 body style RS.

I <3 the GC8...it's the best looking Subaru hands down. I'd almost contemplate trading my Miata for something like that.....
