Talking 2002 Kraken EFR 6258 Built Turbo Miata MS3 6spd 3.63 PS/AC Built Right.

Car SOLD.

Power:
Dyno tuned, 250hp at 10psi and 309hp at 17psi
instant spool and response from the EFR turbo.

Fly and drive this beauty home, Its well sorted and i would not hesitate to drive it to California tomorrow.

For sale, my well sorted 2002 Turbo Miata.
This car is built right, the MiataTurbo way, well sorted, and a joy to drive.

I have owned it for 5 years, and enjoyed every minute of building and driving it.
Only reason i am selling is because I have way too many toys, and get to drive this car less than 1000 miles per year.

Lots of research and time went into building this car over the years of my ownership.
It is one of the most refined modified Miata's i have ever driven, it retains all OEM creature comforts,
has full functioning COLD AC, hot heat, and power steering.
Plus sound deadening materials lining the trunk and rear shelf for improved noise insulation.

Southern car all its life, absolutely ZERO rust.
201K miles on Chassis, but really almost nothing original is left except the shell.

I set the car for 2 boost settings, mild and wild.
These can be switched right on the Android head unit/stereo on the fly.
setting 1. Wastegate only, 10psi, produces a super fun 250hp. this is what i use 95% of the time
setting 2 Kill mode - 17psi 309hp. be ready for a wild ride and embarrass most Mustangs, Vettes and Porches.

OK on to the Specs:

Turbo: (All turbo related stuff was bought brand new 3 years and 3k miles ago).
EFR 6258 T25 turbo, medium wastegate spring
Kraken Cast manifold
Kraken 3" Stainless downpipe
Full 3" Exhaust with MiataTurbo big MagnaFlow muffler. (Sounds great, not loud, nice and deep, no drone).
FlowForce 640cc EV14 Injectors
DW Fuel pump, 200 or 300 series, cant remember.
FM Turbo heat shield
MS3 Basic by Rev with digital CAN box
AEM Wideband connected via digital CAN
MS3 is connected to Android stereo head unit. You can see all car parameters while driving, and also tune on the fly.
custom built cold air box with FM oval cone filter

Cooling:
Car has amazing cooling, You can drive it on the track all day on 90+ degree days with zero worries.
Can drive on the highway on a 90+ degree day with A/C blasting. I can tell you that 90% of turbo miatas cannot do this.
Mishimoto Radiator
OEM fans (cool great, and much quieter than aftermarket fans).
Radiator is Fully ducted.
OEM undertray in place
Singular Motorsports hood Vents.
Coolant Reroute

Engine:
Fully Rebuilt 3 years ago about 3-4k trouble free miles on the build.
VVT Head
VICS intake manifold
94 Block, 94 oem low compression 8.8:1 pistons
Maxpeedingrods Forged rods
All new bearings, rings, and all OEM seals.
Good even compression across all cylinders ~160psi, doesnt burn a drop of oil, no smoke no drama.
Dual port VTA catch can

Drivetrain:
6 Speed gear box out of a 90k mile 10AE
Miata Roadster short shifter w/ weighted ball (amazing shifts)
3.636 Torsen II rear diff from the UK - low miles
FM level 1 clutch. (Awesome clutch, holds perfect and feels like stock).

Handling:
Advanti Storm s1 15x9 forged wheels, wrapped with amazing Hankook RS4 225 Tires.
Lots of traction, and they seem to last forever.
BC Racing BR Coilovers 12k/8k. These ride and handle great, very comfortable street ride and great autox or track day performance.
Racing beat front sway bar
adjustable end links
MSM Strut tower brace

Cosmetics:
MazdaSpeed red/black seats
MazdaSpeed Door sills
MazdaSpeed pedals
OEM Mazda side skirts

Electronics:
Android Bluetooth radio
Can control MS3, show all paramaters and even tune on the FLY.
AEM Wideband
Boost gauge
JBL Component Speakers

Misc:
Hard dog hardtop roll bar
FM Hidden Trailer hitch with wiring

I am sure i am forgetting some things.

You will be hard pressed to find a more complete and refined Turbo Miata.
I have done 2 track days, 3 Autox days and lots of weekend cruising. and this car can truly do it all in comfort, with amazing handling and power.

Only real negative, is that the clear coat is chalking off due to Florida sun.
Could use a new paint job to make it beautiful again, or spraying new clear coat.

I'm not a potential buyer, but one thing I'd be curious about that I didn't see mentioned would be the brakes. Also, are your fenders rolled a bit? 15x9 is a wide tire. You don't say it, but is your 3.6 diff a torsen II diff?

NBs do not require fender modification in any way for this wheel/tire combination.

Stock brakes with stop tech sports pads. Great braking even at track days. Zero complaints on brakes for my novice track day driving.

fenders are not rolled, with these wheels its not required on nb2 miatas. No rubbing

Torsen II 3.636 oem untouched low mile unit from UK prestige parts.

I really like what you have done with the car. i have been saving up for three years to buy a turbo like this and i think i am almost there. I live north of Tampa. Is the car anywhere near there?

I am located in Jacksonville, so about 3-4hr drive from you..

My miata is a blast to drive, and very reliable. I have had zero issues with it since I built it.. just get in and drive anywhere you want.

Oh what I'd give for a rust free NB2! That's just a pipe dream here in Britain. I think you Americans would recoil in horror if you saw my car.

GLWS borka. You've done a great job with the build. I've just built my Kraken/EFR NB2 and so I know how awesome it is even at just 10-12psi.

So what toy is taking up your time these days that this deal-of-the-century has to go?

I'm not sure how to take the deal of the century comment.
I think I am asking a fair price for a nicely built efr miata, that's well sorted and reliable.

For the past few years I have been way more into boating than into cars.

between owning a sailboat, power boat, motorcycle, and a racing go kart, the miata almost never gets driven.

I live in flat Florida, so the only real places to have some genuine fun with it is at the track or autox. And my passion for those venues has dwindled lately..

If I lived in the mountains, and could go on a fun spirited canyon carving ride at any time, I would no doubt use the miata much more.
