There’s only one faith that kills you or wants to kill you if you renounce the faith. An ex-Muslim is a very dangerous thing. Talk to Salman Rushdie after the show about Christian versus Islam.

As many people have pointed out — ‘The Book of Mormon,’ did you see the show?

…OK, can you imagine if they did ‘The Book of Islam?’ Could they do that?
There’s only one religion that threatens violence and carries it out for things like that. Could they do “The Book of Islam” on Broadway?

I just placed an order with TireRack, and I got this message with part of the confirmation screen...

Note: As a complimentary service to you, the Tire Identification Codes for the tires you purchased will be automatically registered with the Department of Transportation (DOT).

It's so they can match tread patterns to crime scenes and track you using road-side infrared scanners. The tires themselves also contain miniature RFID transpoders embedded in the tread which can be queried by the CIA's satellites. (This is why racers shave the tread off of new street tires.)

Optionally, you can spray the sidewalls with aluminized paint to block the satellite signal.

Now Joe, you and I both know that those RFID chips turn into melted blobs after a few sessions on track. Just ask my tire pressure sensors in my old DD.

Basically track racing is big brother's kryptonite.

Take away organized civilian government and protected commerce, and you basically have Somalia.

Personally, I enjoy living in a place in which finding mutilated bodies on the street is considered to be an extremely abnormal occurrence.

http://crazifornia.com/2013/04/16/di...gh-speed-rail/

Sen. Diane Feinstein’s husband Richard Blum won a construction contract for California’s high-speed rail project, reports the California Political Review.

Author Laer Pearce says Perini-Zachary-Parsons, a construction group partially owned by Blum’s investment firm, Blum Capital, and their investors, bagged the nearly billion dollar contract:
The Perini-Zachary-Parsons bid was the lowest received from the five consortia participating in the bidding process, but ‘low’ is a relative term. The firms bid $985,142,530 to build the wildly anticipated first section of high speed rail track that will tie the megopolis of Madera to the global finance center of Fresno. Do the division, and you find that the low bid came in at a mere $35 million per mile.
This is not the first time Feinstein has come under scrutiny for cronyism using taxpayer dollars.

A recent study by the Reason Foundation found that the California High-Speed Rail System will lose between $124 million to $373 million a year.

Aren't there exactly TWO high speed rail lines in the world that aren't subsidized by the tax payers?

In fairness, how many highways in the world are not subsidized by tax dollars? City streets? Bus lines? Subways/metros?

I'm not sure the fact that it is subsidized by tax dollars is enough of a criticism. Now, if it's a shitty project with inflated costs due to corruption, that's a fair criticism.
