There has, over several generations, been a social desire among a subset of the Sub-Saharan African American Population (Black people) to express themselves as proudly being "not white". Within this subset of the population, it would be expected that they would strive to achieve things that the stereotypical white man would not strive to achieve while not focusing on those things that the white man does attempt to achieve, but this does not happen to be the case. It became socially acceptable, if not socially expected, among peer groups of this subset not to achieve their own Black goals, but rather to avoid achieving "White goals" which is akin to self-sabotage. Intentionally performing poorly in academics, working in a manner subversive to the white boss, and adapting cultural practices specifically exclusive to the black man (and then enforcing them) ("whassup my n!gg@?").

The desire to smoke a drug rather than to snort or inject it could also be seen as an example. If the white man snorted his drug, then that subset of the black population would much prefer smoking it. The idea that crack was "cheaper" might not necessarily be true; typically, crack cocaine must be a higher purity than cut powdered cocaine, though gram for gram, the prices are quite similar. Crack is typically sold in smaller quantities which makes the per-purchase price lower.

Within this subset, each generation that practices "anti-whiteness" basically must start from zero while the subset of the black population which does not practice "anti-whiteness" is able to improve their life position generationally; If your black parents where "anti-white", but then realized that "anti-white" was wrong early enough to raise you to be individually responsible, then you might start at "zero" and have your own kids when you become a "twenty". Your grandchildren might be born when your children are an "eighty" (whatever that scale actually means or stands for).

The perception then is "anti-white", but what this subset is actually practicing is "anti-society". There has always been a subset of the white population that practices "anti-society", it just seems like they have always been a much smaller subset of that population - that white subset is subject to the same outcomes as the anti-white subset of the black population.

As an "anti-society"-ist, there simply isn't much of a way out there for one to earn the things that pro-society people take for granted. Such a person is far more likely to resort to crime than a pro-society person who doesn't need to figure out where his next meal is coming from, and has a valuable life to lose by committing an economic crime against another person; It doesn't seem to matter what color your skin is: there isn't exactly a high percentage of people out there who are janitorial staff or grocery shelf-stockers who take pride in their work by day and who are also violent criminals by night.

Where would we be if "expressing whiteness" wasn't seen as socially unacceptable among a subset of the Sub-Saharan African American population starting 3, 4, or 5 generations ago?

Looks like my entire state is shutting down due to the Lung Pao Sicken. Gatherings of 250 or more people banned (convenient timing since the governor just signed a number of executive orders, now we can't protest), and all schools will be closed for at least the next two weeks. My wife has been instructed to telework until April 23rd (!). All during the busiest time of year work wise. :hatecat:

In Italy, the largest hospitals in Milan are already so overrun that if you're old and have an existing condition that ups your risk...............they aren't treating you and choosing to treat people with a better expected outcome for life.

This is exactly what the Michael Osterholm said on Rogan's podcast on Tuesday. The point is to slow down the spread of the virus so that hospitals aren't overwhelmed.

The problem is the idiots that are buying everything up and making it even harder on the people who are actually at risk........like my girlfriend who is on immuno suppressant drugs for RA.

There's no race war. If liberals stopped perpetuating that sort of nonsense, things would get better pretty much overnight. But since they believe everything is racism, they keep fueling this compete and utter dogshit, and keep everyone all up in arms over nothing while black kids blow themselves away, fail out of school, and live a life of crime because the white man owes them restitution.

Liberals don't want to solve these sort of problems, they want to point blame on whitey so they can keep black voters slaves to the Democratic party that has completely abandoned and failed them -- while pretending to actually care about them of course. QE: The Monetary Policy took itself too seriously, QE 2: The Wrath of Deflation was probably the strongest of them, QE 3: The Search for Greenspan was kinda weird, and QE 4: The Voyage to Stability was goofy. There are some animal species that will sacrifice their own offspring to ensure the survival of other offspring or themselves. The vast majority of predator species practice infanticide to some degree. Homo sapiens on the other hand have a highly evolved instinct to protect their offpsring to the point of sacrificing their own lives to ensure the survival of their children.

I feel that the life of that kid is basically already forfeit. That the mom would literally trample her own kid over whatever slight or material trinket caused that scene... very few things on the internet cause an emotional reaction in me like that video did.

Makes me wonder if the people in that video are actually human.

I am sure that, thanks to the highly-refined system of public services which western civilization has evolved over the past century, the life of the child has a better than 50/50 chance of being preserved, and we will all collectively contribute in small part to its well-being and eventual trial and incarceration.

I've been working on plans for the past four days as to how to keep this TV station not merely on the air, but actually producing a newscast-in-exile, with no one in the building. Not that we expect that to happen, just being prepared for the worst.


I don't know how hard that sounds to people who don't work in TV. If you think "well, you have all of this technology...", then it's harder than you think. Yes, I can remotely drive most of the computer systems in the building. Getting low-latency returns (both audio and video) from hundreds of monitors (video monitors, not computer monitors) to dozens of users is a whole other challenge.

Needless to say, I've stripped pretty much every IP-enabled security camera from the building, and re-hung them all in various control rooms, pointed at the video walls. There is so much CAT6 dangling from ceiling-tile grids from zip-ties right now that it looks like the work-product of the illegitimate offspring of H.R. Giger and Clifford Stoll, after having been assimilated by the Borg and then mistakenly being promoted to Hive-Chief due to a paperwork errror.


The funny part is that if we do have to pull the trigger, the talent will love it. They relish in playing up the "look how antiquated / dysfunctional this place is" thing on-air.



At some point, I am going to need to sleep. Caffeine and alcohol can only go so far...
