EBT cards in general bother me. I just had no idea one could withdraw cash form them. that makes it even worse. As there is supossed to be "limit" in what types of products you can buy with them...but we all know that's not the case.
or am i confusing welfare payments and food stamps?

There are plenty of reasons to questions the utility of government benefits, but unrestricted purchases isn't one of them. You're increasing the recipients overall budget, and he or she will find ways to adjust their spending in the categories they want, regardless of whatever "restrictions" you put on their purchases with those benefits.
EBT card recipients SHOULD have restrictions. Chances are, they already have somehow proven they cant make important decisions for themselves, so, since we carry them, we should tell them what they can/can't spend it on.
My dollar is my dollar, no matter who's ------- hand its in. That's how I feel at least.
Let these ----------ers earn their own and then they can decide what they want to waste it on.

Does it really make you feel better if they have to a $100 EBT card on food, and then spend their new personal surplus of $100 on beer?
A guy goes into the supermarket for food that's one thing, but alcohol and cigarettes shouldn't even be considered. No matter what kind of "government card" it comes off of.
Can you really withdraw cash at ATM's with these cards? If so, that's outrageously ------- ridiculous.
You're not addressing the real issue -- purchase restrictions (no matter whether it applies to the consumer or vendor) do nothing but force a simple budgetary shift. Spend this money here, spend that money there.
If you don't like the idea of "your money" being spent how the recipient desires, then you should be against government benefits entirely, because purchase restrictions do nothing to address the issue.

If somebody is too lazy to get a job, more then likely they are too lazy to vote.
While Obama didn't start government handouts, he sure as ---- made it a hell of a lot easier to get on them and stay on them.
