Twitter bans Steve Bannon for video suggesting violence against Fauci, FBI Director Wray

If President Trump wins reelection, former chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon said in a video posted Thursday that he should quickly eliminate Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious-disease expert, and FBI Director Christopher A. Wray — by means of medieval execution.

"I’d actually like to go back to the old times of Tudor England. I’d put the heads on pikes,” Bannon said during a live taping of his online show, “War Room: Pandemic.”

Twitter permanently suspended Bannon’s @WarRoomPandemic account on Thursday after he posted the clip, a spokeswoman told The Washington Post, citing the service’s prohibition on “the glorification of violence.” The move makes Bannon one of the most high-profile political figures to be banned.

Facebook, YouTube and Spotify also removed video clips and audio from the episode.

Bannon — who is out on bail after being arrested and then pleading not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in an alleged scheme to defraud Trump donors to raise funding for the border wall — made his violent threat toward Fauci and Wray on his podcast, which has chronicled the coronavirus pandemic through a pro-Trump lens.

Bannon started by calling the president “a kindhearted man and a good man” before suggesting that harsher action was warranted toward Fauci and Wray. Bannon added that the stakes bearing their decapitated heads should be placed “at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats: You either get with the program or you’re gone.”

I'm trying to decide whether "The Chinese Interface" is a 1980s political thriller starring Robert Redford and James Earl Jones, or a 2020s dystopian post-apocalyptic film with Donald Sutherland and Arden Cho.

Edit: Donald Sutherland plays an aging and long-retired former director of the CDC or the USDA (or some similar entity) who "saw it coming" years ago, but was rebuked and discredited by progressive, politically-motivated younger members of the organization, who recognized (correctly) that conforming to the pressures of a prior administration's edict to avoid panic and downplay the threat was crucial to the survival of their organization, and outweighed both the need for honesty and the career of one eccentric old scientist.

The results aren't certified. It was premature and dangerous to call the election at the current moment when a few states are going to recount.


We need to make sure there wasn't Russian interference in places where 21k dead people voted. Or Mail in ballots return were greater than mailed out. Or software glitches caused incorrect counts. Or date stamps were changed. Or turn out records were not only broken but astronomical....
