I'm down in FL at the moment. Had intended for this to be a quick in-n-out Thanksgiving trip, but the blizzard in Chicago felt otherwise.
Had lunch with dad yesterday. First time we've hooked up in about a decade. He turned 80 this year, still has a full head of hair (thank FSM), and recently underwent bypass surgery. Apparently, he pulled the exact same move while in recovery, with a nurse young enough to be his daughter. (Admittedly, this doesn't mean quite as much at his age as it does at mine. But, still, scoring a hot grandma at 80 while in cardiac IMU is not to be discounted.) And I gotta hand it to him, she's looking pretty good for 62.

Sample size of 2 . . . my oldest (a Millenial or "Y" b. 1986) is a wishy-washy mindless lib. My youngest (a Centennial or "Z" b. 1996) is probably the most conservative person I've ever known (with the possible exception of her serious boyfriend). She lasted all of 2 weeks in a Women's Studies elective before dropping it and happily scampering back to her hard science coursework.
Don't know if this is typical. It could simply be the natural law that siblings must be opposite rather than a generational thing.
Fearful of bias, Google blocks gender-based pronouns from new AI tool
Google in May introduced a slick feature for Gmail that automatically completes sentences for users as they type. Tap out “I love” and Gmail might propose “you” or “it.”
But users are out of luck if the object of their affection is “him” or “her.”
Google’s technology will not suggest gender-based pronouns because the risk is too high that its “Smart Compose” technology might predict someone’s sex or gender identity incorrectly and offend users, product leaders revealed to Reuters in interviews.
A priest who has been an exorcist for over 40 years has labeled the "mindset" inspiring Céline Dion’s new gender-neutral children’s clothing line as "definitely satanic."
As The Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo reported, the clothing line was promoted in a video advertisement featuring Dion breaking into a hospital, blowing glitter out of her hand, and magically changing infants' pink and blue blankets and clothing into gender-neutral clothing from her line. The gender-neutral clothing includes black and white colors with stars and the slogan "New Order."
Dion’s clothing line, CELINUNUNU, was made in partnership with Nununu, and according to its website, sells "kids trendy boutique clothing."
CELINUNUNU's website states that the brand "flows on the axis between the values of education and empowering dialogue," and that they believe "an educational experience is possible through children’s clothes, because fashion builds concepts deep within our minds and changes thought patterns. It can create equality, and grow the emotional intelligence that drives the practice of responsibility, freedom and flexibility of thought."
Patti Armstrong, a writer for the National Catholic Register, penned a blog post last week stating that while Dion was raised Catholic, her "gender-neutral clothing for children indicates she has gone to the dark side."
"Aside from the clothing being hideously ugly, occult themes on children is disturbing," Armstrong wrote. "The babies and children look sullen. Who would pay $77 for a baby blanket with skulls or $161 for a jacket that looks like a trash bag. And who wants a baby playsuit with skulls?"
Armstrong notes that Nununu’s own line "includes sheep with patches over one eye and cross bones, large Illuminati eyes and lots and lots of skulls."
Armstrong contacted Msgr. John Esseff, a founder and past president of the board of directors of Pope Leo XIII Institute, which trains exorcists. Esseff has also been a priest for 65 years and an exorcist in the Diocese of Scranton, Pennsylvania for over 40 years.
"I'm convinced that the way this gender thing has spread is demonic," Esseff told Armstrong. "It's false. I don’t even know how many genders there’s supposed to be now, but there are only two that God made."
"The devil is going after children by confusing gender," Esseff added, according to Armstrong. "When a child is born, what is the first things we say about that child? It’s a boy, or it’s a girl. That is the most natural thing in the world to say. But to say that there is no difference is satanic."
Armstrong also says Esseff told her, "People behind this are influencing children to disorder."
"This is definitely satanic," he said. "There is a mind behind it—an organized mindset."
"The devil is a liar and there are huge lies being told," Msgr. Esseff said, according to Armstrong. "This is being done for money, and there is divisiveness that comes from this—marks of the devil."
Armstrong concludes the post stating that she gave the clothing line her attention because "children are involved."
"I am hoping that others will join me to pray for those poor children who have become pawns of evil and for the adults who are so ignorant," she said.
Hope Schreiber penned a piece in Yahoo Lifestyle defending the clothing line claiming that it "just favors minimalism in both shapes and colors," and "[i]f anything, Dion is encouraging our children to be goth."
the above is a more convincing argument than "there are more than two genders because i said so".

Samantha Ness, the Minnesota teacher who sent a tweet saying “Kill Kavanaugh,” referring to recently confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, has resigned.
yeah but now instead of getting a decent job and making good money, they can cry about how women are actually only paid 15c to the dollar while posting selfies on FB, in between their breast feeding schedule with their illegitimate children, while still living at home.
For every one which is so far mind-fucked that they have no hope of fitting into a functional society (or a coach-class airplane seat), there are dozens if not hundreds who have sexy butch haircuts and are entirely capable of behaving as normal human beings provided a sufficiently non-polarized environment.
It is tempting to characterize the masses according to the extreme. But as in most situations, the extreme represents a radical deviance wherein the masses tend to be within 1 standard deviation of normal.
