Yeah, Milo openly mocks athiests. I don't think he and Hitch would have gotten along very well.

He's just a man getting through life the best he can
He's a not a scientist, he programs a computer
Before that he sold cars to pay a student loan now he receives
Pity

From his family, his friends say how could he
Turn his back on on reason worshiping
A God finding truth through fear and mind control
He's just a man trying to explain how
He found the word of God could make his life seem less insane
So he shares what he's read, what he understands, it makes
Sense to him, it makes perfect sense to him, in fact
He's never seen so clearly

Turned his back on free will, has he lost his mind?
He'd rather kneel down than take charge of his life
And he knows what people think, but it dosen't sway him
He can read the writings on the wall
'Cause he knows how people treat, how they treat each other
A sacrifice to benefit the all

Don't try to judge him, his theological ideas
His hopes may be false but his happiness is real
Don't try to judge him, he's just a man

I’m a 32-year-old virgin, and I’m living the feminist dream

But I believe that I’m living a fuller, better life because of my commitment to sexual integrity. I spend all day, every day doing the things that I want to do, because I’m not wasting my time worrying about waking up next to a stranger, contracting a sexually transmitted infection or missing a period.

Maybe they realize that a condom doesn’t protect the heart, and that true love is something worth waiting for and fighting for.

Nah. Christian conservatives have sex.

She is living the classic "spinster/feminist" lifestyle though.

This is NOT the onion:

White People Should Be Banned from Doing Yoga | Huffington Post

White people are continuing to recreate colonialist violence with their cultural consumption. It has to stop. The only way to end systemic racism and insensitive problematics is to force everyone to stick to their own race when it comes to the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the art we appreciate, and the life we live. Anybody enjoying a cultural product that is not there’s—whether it be a eating traditional meal or wearing a sacred garment—is guilty of cultural appropriation. This violence must be stopped! You should only be allowed to enjoy the culture of your own race.

Whenever I see someone who’s cultural heritage does not descend from the sub-continent of India practicing yoga, I want to scream out at them for their theft of an ancient, sacred practice. The way Westerners have reduced yoga to a trendy form of exercise is just another example of how colonialism continues to plague us. Yoga is a centuries old tradition of mindfulness, with physical practice only one part of the system. Unless you grew up Indian, learning these ancient traditions of your own people, using the sacred objects in their intended manner, you should not be allowed to practice “yoga” as trendy yuppie moms call it. These people in their Lululemon spandex yoga suits ignore the sacred and profound aspects of yoga as they grunt through half-assed stretches. They are literally recreating the same colonialist violence that Britain inflicted on India through “yoga.” We should do like the upstanding student leaders at the University of Ottawa who demanded yoga be brought down for it’s flagrant recreation of cultural genocide; we need to decolonize our yoga practice.

"They are literally recreating the same colonialist violence..."

Self-important blogger literally doesn't know what literally means. That's a reasonable measure of its intellectual acuity without needing to look further.

I'm guessing it didn't receive the "America is a melting pot" lesson in school. They took that out of the curriculum sometime after I left school.

Braineack 09-14-2016 12:26 PM

I didnt pay attention in school. I think that benefited me well.

I think the Huffpost piece is actually satire, but not sure. Interesting use of "verboten."

This is what I was thinking. Especially when I got to the part where they referenced the other article. It seemed like a setup.
