Fatal BART shooting not captured by cameras - SFGate

The fatal shooting of a BART police officer by a colleague during a probation search in Dublin was not captured by body cameras issued to all of the transit agency's officers, because the five who entered the apartment either weren't wearing the devices or didn't activate them, The Chronicle has learned.

reverse entrapment:

BBC News - Speeding Durham Police driver disciplined over 140mph

According to the Northern Echo, the Durham Police officer was travelling from Leeds and began speeding when he was asked by his passenger how fast the marked car could go.

On arrival at Darlington, the prisoner told another officer about the drive.

Durham Police said the PC's licence had been suspended and he had been removed from road policing duties.

the reason for the stop:
check everyone is okay.
looking for a male and a female.
looking for a guy with a beard and a 14yo girl.
looking for a welfare check.
looking for IDs and a way to search cars for drugs.

While reading I kept having a thought that many would take the knowledge contained in the article to refine their techniques.
The system is set up to reward convictions and truth is irrelevant. The accused is but a puck in the game.

Why would anyone put themselves through such torture?

A little different. Law enforcement actually doing their job and being nice and respectful to citizens. A breath of fresh air. Also, a little boring.

That is complete bullshit. It is none of their business if I want to keep a hidden compartment in my car. I can't see how something like that passed. Oh wait, yes I can...

What constitutes a "hidden compartment"? If i have my spare tire removed, and there is just an empty area under the carpet. What is that? Is the area under my seat hidden? Hell, what about the glove box?
Wouldn't it only be a "hidden compartment" if it's not found. If it's found, then i suppose it's not hidden is it?

This is stupid.

Exactly. What's so bullshit about it, is that it's the compartment itself, not what's in it. So I can't modify my vehicle for more storage space? Why the **** not? I'd be fucked if I lived there with my old 1st gen RX7. I had what would probably constitute hidden compartments everywhere on that car. Old spare tire slot in the rear was modified a bit to fit a thin battery, which never got installed. I also had 2 large spaces under the carpet under the rear storage bins. I guess I would spend 15 years in prison for being able to store more things in my car. I just can't even imagine how these ******** came up with such a law and put it on the books. That is so goddamn retarded. Then it seems like they would also be profiling, because they would have to claim I met a particular profile. "You're driving on an interstate with compartments in your car, and your hair is a mess. Clearly you are a drug smuggler."

I actually want to see this law. This just sounds so unconstitutional.
