Police Brutality Texas Cop Rapes a 19-Year-Old Girl

Jackie Len Neal, a 40-year-old San Antonio police officer, is facing charges for handcuffing and raping a 19-year-old girl during a traffic stop. He got arrested after showing up at her front door just hours after the assault.

The girl whose name remained undisclosed was driving to a friend’s house near Zarzamora Street and Hutchins Place around 2 a.m. when she noticed Neal’s patrol SUV following her. She was pulled over on Betty Street, allegedly for driving a stolen car. The girl told Neal it was impossible because the car was bought recently and provided him with a sales slip to prove it. Regardless of it, Neal made her get out of the car so he could search her and started groping her. She yelled at him to stop and asked for a female officer, which enraged Neal who dragged her to his SUV where he raped her. Neal warned the victim that he knew where she lived before leaving but she gathered the courage to report him.

Mayor Freezes SPD Misconduct Settlements, City Can't Find Paperwork to Back Up Claims of Mayor and Chief | Slog

The Seattle police chief, city attorney, and mayor's senior staff were hauled before a skeptical Seattle City Council today to answer pointed questions about an unraveling brouhaha of police misconduct cases. At issue: Interim police chief Harry Bailey recently downgraded discipline for six officers, after past chiefs had already imposed misconduct verdicts against those officers, and then dramatically flip-flip flopped on other case.

In today's meeting, the mayor's surrogates made three more remarkable disclosures:

(1) The mayor has placed an "indefinite hold" on his police chief signing any further settlements in officer-misconduct cases until further review, Deputy Mayor Hyeok Kim told the council's public safety committee; (2) the mayor's office has also decided to reopen those six cases in which the chief decided to downgrade the punishment to "see if appropriate determinations were made," according to the bureaucratic parlance of mayoral public safety adviser Tina Podlodowski; and (3) Deputy Mayor Kim told the council that city officials cannot find any paperwork confirming that former interim chief Jim Pugel tentatively downgraded discipline in those six cases, as claimed repeatedly in the last week by Chief Bailey and Mayor Murray.

Feds indict 5 San Francisco police officers, one ex-cop

SAN FRANCISCO — Five San Francisco police officers and one former cop have been indicted on corruption charges ranging from drug dealing, theft and civil rights violations that emerged from security video, federal prosecutors announced Thursday.

Police Chief Greg Suhr said the five active-duty officers were immediately suspended without pay and had their weapons confiscated.

"Our department is shaken," Suhr, who took office after the scandal broke in 2011, said at a news conference. "This is as serious as an issue as I can recall in my time in the department."

Because of the shadow cast on the officers' conduct beginning in 2009, local prosecutors have had to drop about 100 criminal cases they were involved in.

Jury finds West Sacramento cop guilty in sexual assault case - Crime - Sacto 911 - The Sacramento Bee

Prosecutors called Alvarez a rogue cop who targeted drug addicts and prostitutes, forcing them into sex in his patrol cruiser, back alleys and wooded lots, banking that they wouldn’t be believed if they went to authorities.

...

Former West Sacramento police officer Sergio Alvarez could be imprisoned for life for kidnapping and sexually assaulting women while on patrol in 2011 and 2012.

Alvarez was found guilty Thursday of 18 kidnapping and sex assault counts in what Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig called a “horrific betrayal of trust.”

Doraville cop tried to sell automatic weapon | www.wsbradio.com

He was a Doraville police officer, until a tip led to an investigation and ultimately his dismissal.

"One of our officers was trying to sell an automatic weapon," says Doraville Police Officer Gene Callaway.

Callaway tells WSB Officer Woodrow Mann had been with the department since 2008. His attempted sale was discovered following a tip to the police.

"That led to an inquiry and we found that he was trying to sell a Class 3 weapon, which is a fully automatic weapon," says Callaway.

When Doraville received the tip they contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

"Because the weapon had not been delivered," Callaway says, "it didn't meet their threshold for a crime."

Mann was dismissed from the Doraville police department. He can appeal his firing.

My very first checkpoint ever. to preface this, i would like to say, no i am not harassing the cops, it is obvious they harass me once they realize i'm exercising my rights. I am not looking for trouble, rise, or lawsuit. i would love it if every encounter went completely uneventful...

in this video, within 10 seconds of the stop one trooper attempts to open my door and tell me to "get out of the car dude." they say they cant hear me which is why i need to roll down the window, but if my GoPro in its waterproof housing can pick up the audio that well, they can hear just fine. then i am 'detained' for a vehicle inspection. they attempt to get me out of the car again, i decline, which prompts one trooper to tell the other that ' oh yeah i think he needs to get one [citation]' then as i am about to be free to go, a 3 year old speeding ticket is brought up, then im threatened with "if i ever see your car on the road im gonna pull you over"

they never noticed but i did have my firearm on my right hip, which i think if my doors were unlocked and was pulled out at the beginning like attempted, someone probably would have shouted gun, and i would have been thrown down, tazed, or worse. always lock your doors.

Always be respectful! with encounters and on here. take the high road. i will not tolerate any comments like 'f**king pigs' 'cop needs to be shot' or anything like that. comments like that will be deleted and you will most likely be blocked.

This is for education, to educate the people of their rights for which most do not know they have.
DUI checkpoint that's actually an unconstitutional drug checkpoint, that's actually an unconstitutional vehicle inspection, that's actually an unconstitutional money making scam.

I would expect that the card was destroyed or replaced.
I saw of one person used Recuva to retrieve video that a cop did not ant seen. That was stupid cop. Most cops have likely leaned by now that simple deletion is not enough.

Police hid use of cell phone tracking device from judge because of NDA
Use of a cell phone tracker is kept secret at manufacturer's request.

So these cops violate the law to enforce the law and have to turn a rapist loose that they could have probably nailed proper with only a little more work.
And it sounds like a lot more of their cased might be blown.

You didn't get the memo? In a Republic, one must break the law to enforce the law.

It's easy to recover deleted footage. Something is not deleted completely unless it's written over. So the card must be destroied or formatted and then used, so the same data areas, that once housed the pics/video, are written to.

another dangerous cell phone camera user arrested:

Texas student arrested after filming police traffic stops ? RT USA

As evident in the videos Ikhinmwin uploaded to her YouTube page, at one point while recording the clips she was approached by a San Antonio Police Department officer and asked to move her bike away from traffic.

“What’s the traffic violation? I’m 12 inches from the curb. Am I not 12 inches within the curb?” she asked on camera.

When Ikhinmwin refused to relocate her two-wheeler, the officer asked for identification. After refusing to comply with that order, the cop handcuffed the woman and hauled her in.

“You can’t just arrest me for sitting at a bus stop,” the college student is heard telling the cop on camera.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” the police officer responds. “M’aam, you’re going to go to jail, that’s what's going to happen. You’re already going to jail.”

According to local news network KENS 5, “she was eventually dragged by her hair into a squad car, but not before suffering bruises that would keep her out of school for a week.”

Ikhinmwin spoke with the station afterward and said of the incident: “I’ve never been so dehumanized in my life.”

“Her bike was confiscated, along with her school books and computer,” KENS 5 reported. On top of that, though, she also received one citation for failing to obey an officer and another for impeding traffic. With regards to the arrest, though, she says that was the result of being charged with failure to provide identification to a police officer.

Ikhinmwin, a criminal justice major at the local college, is pressing charges against the officer, KENS 5 reported.

Surprise: Arresting officer's story doesn't match the video!

oh more story: The officers involved were suspended, then there was public outcry, they were fired, the story dies down, they were rehired with back pay, then fired again when it was reported, now it looks like one has been fired and the other rehired with back pay again.

Looks like a fun fellow but for I think of someone pointed out that to remain a cop one must say nothing when viewing corrupt cops.
I had not thought quite so negative about cops overall but that remark did give me pause for thought.
I did have some correspondence with a cop some years ago. I did believe that he was likely being honest with me that his group was pretty honest cops. - When I questioned him if his might be a small force he told me that it was small town and there was nine cops.
