I don't understand why you'd ever see this as ridiculous. The NAACP has a long history of standing up for civil rights and they shouldn't back down now. Cartoon animals joking about things not taught in inner-city schools in an effort to exclude a group by going over their heads is wrong. Dead wrong, honky.

The NAACP keeps racism alive. No one is really racist against people because they are black. This is coming from an east Tennessean. It was clear that the card was not talking about that. If there were black people drawn on the card and fros on the planets of the solar system, then yes. All the NAACP is accomplishing is making the African American community look like cry babies to everyone else. I have no respect for them. The have done some good, but now they are a dying, outdated organization that is still trying in futility to justify their existence.

Exactly. Any racism that still exists is self induced from the black community, or more specifically, organizations like this one. Only time I even think about racism, or hear about racism, is when the NAACP is bringing it up and blowing **** out of proportion like this. The NAACP always makes a vein in my forehead pop out.

Why do people get so overly offended anyway? Grow some thick skin and quit worrying about other people. People these days want protection from everything, and to protect themselves, they just prevent EVERYTHING. Can't do anything anymore. Another thing I'm sick of is people using race as a goddamn crutch.

I guess maybe saying ANY, wasn't the right thing to say. I know it still exists, but much of what I see or hear is created by the "oppressed" side.

 

I agree with that. They use their power in the media to bring attention to things we don't hear about.

And I also think that things like the racists greeting card are stupid and a waste of time. That **** damages reputations.

Edit: I'm just keeping my mouth shut now. I don't even support the NAACP. Plus my car just blew up and I'm about to go out to the garage.

 

How about i cry like a little baby everytime something that sounds like peckerwood, honky or cracker is used. Besides, when they start talking about slavery... well who cares. Parts of my family willingly put themselves into indentured servitude to come to this great country. I think if their ancestors new how everything was going to turn out, they would have gladly worked so that their posterity could be in the US instead of over in Africa, possibly still in slavery, or getting shot at and killed in that mess over there.

Really?!? Where is the NAACP denunciation on this then or are they a group that thinks promoting racism is a good idea. Or, are they biased because if there was no racism there would be no need for them? Or is it only white people can be racist? I just don't understand the logic.



Way to go King Samir Shabazz for giving racism a foothold for a little longer. Your only a free as you let yourself be. Hate can be a prison too.
