True, and that's kinda what he did. The things he preaches are polar opposites of what Obama campaigned on. It shows the paradigm shift the country has taken. Here you had a guy the would get on stage--the leader of the free world--and say gov't is not the answer, gov't is the problem, gov't is contrast to your liberties. Today we have a guy that blatantly lies, preaches statism, and wants to ruin the country purposefully to oppress and control its citizens and people still wouldn't have it any other way so long as they can keep buying lobster on EBT cards.

I posted the video to be more like: By contrast, listen to the words that this guy would say. And at least he tried to make good on them, at least he honestly believe in the stuff he was saying and honestly wanted to better america and increase freedoms.

I believe the cold war he was supposedly fighting was also mostly based on lies as well and we still spend as much on military as the next 17 countries combined. He grew the government during good times flattened the tax code while also favoring income from capital which eventually helped make rich people obscenely rich and the over taxed middle class labor force paying a greater share of federal revenue too expensive on the global market helping skilled manufacturing leave.
