I laughed when Newt called out the panel for letting Romney speak endlessly while his turn was over, yet some candidates can't get 30 seconds without an interruption or commercial break.

Yeah. Newt has good solid smart researched answers, of all of the republicans, I'd have to go with him..he's the smartest of them all.

I really hate everyone else's social views and gun-ho military trigger happiness. Was it santorum or perry that said he'd send troops back in?

And I really liked newt's answer to iran.

I was really pissed when ron paul got cut off to a commercial break when he was about to give his rebulttle to romney about giving locals guns to fight off iran and crap...I know he was going to bring up the fact that's what we did with saddam and osama and the contras, etc etc.

I think I saw huntsman, paul and perry speak about once or twice. I turned it off after a while because the questions were stupid as ---- and only gave the questions to romney and santorum.

This doctor, Dr. Steven Chase Brigham, performed an abortion at 36 weeks...that's right when the baby is about to pop out...what do we call that?

He was charged with murder in 1996 for doing the same on fetuses past 24 weeks (convicted of fraud)...

Oh public schools, not a dull moment:

Q. Each tree had 56 oranges. If eight slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick?

Q. If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week?

What if Noah tried ot build the Ark in Illinois?

…..And the Lord spoke to Noah and said:

“In one year, I am going to make it rain and cover the whole earth with water until all flesh is destroyed, but I want you to save the righteous people and two of every kind of living thing on earth. Therefore, I am commanding you to build an Ark.”

In a flash of lightning God delivered the specifications for an Ark. In fear and trembling, Noah took the plans and agreed to build the ark.

Remember,” said the Lord: “You must complete the Ark and bring everything aboard in one year.”

Exactly one year later, fierce storm clouds covered the earth and all the seas of the earth went into a tumult. The Lord saw that Noah was sitting in his front yard weeping

“Noah,” He shouted

“Where is the Ark?”

“Lord, please forgive me,” cried Noah. “I did my best, but there were big problems: First, I had to get a permit for construction, and your plans did not meet the Chicago codes. I had to hire an engineering firm and redraw the plans.

Then I got into a fight with OSHA over whether or not the Ark needed a sprinkler system and approved floatation devices. Then, my neighbor objected, claiming I was violating zoning ordinances by building the Ark in my front yard, so I had to get a variance from the Chicago planning commission. Then, I had problems getting enough wood for the Ark because there was a ban on cutting trees to protect the Spotted Owl…and finally convinced the U. S. Forest Service that I really needed the wood to save the owls. However, the Fish and Wildlife Service won’t let me catch any owls, so, no owls.” The carpenters formed a union and went on strike. I had to negotiate a settlement with the National Labor Relations Board before anyone would pick up a saw or hammer. Now, I have 16 carpenters on the Ark, but still no owls. When I started rounding up the other animals, an animal rights group sued me. They objected to me taking only two of each kind aboard.

Just when I got the suit dismissed, the EPA notified me that I could not complete the Ark without filing an environmental impact statement on your proposed flood. They didn’t take very kindly to the idea that they had no jurisdiction over the conduct of the Creator of the Universe. Then, the Army Corps of Engineers demanded a map of the proposed new flood plain…. I sent them a globe.

Right now, I am trying to resolve a complaint filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that I am practicing discrimination by not taking godless, unbelieving people aboard. The IRS has seized my assets, claiming that I’m building the Ark in preparation to flee the country and not pay taxes. I just got a notice from the state of Illinois that I owe them some kind of user tax and failed to register the Ark as a “recreational water craft.” And finally, the ACLU got the courts to issue an injunction against further construction of the Ark, saying that since God is flooding the earth, it’s a religious event, and, therefore, UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I really don’t think I can finish the Ark for another five or six years.”

Noah waited…

The sky began to clear, the sun began to shine, and the seas began to calm. A rainbow arched across the sky. Noah looked up hopefully.

“You mean you’re not going to destroy the earth, Lord?”

“No,” He said sadly.”

“I don’t have to. The government already has.”

I foresee the country being split up into two halves. The working half and the handmeout half. Eventually, the working half is going stand the ---- up and just say NO MORE HANDMEOUTS.

Honestly, why its even gone to this level is beyond me. I think the only way to fix it is to have an all out war on each other.

I want to be able to work, live and be happy. All others should have the right to do the same. So long as I'm capable of providing for myself I ask for NO aid. This should apply for every citizen living in the US. My only request is that my right to live isn't encroached upon by those that abuse the system.

Stop rewarding the people who give nothing back to society and start rewarding those who do. Don't make it HARDER for businesses to keep the doors open! Don't even get involved!

Why people on government aid can vote is beyond me. If you receive handouts, you get no vote.

"... the state is as prudent as it can possibly be with taxpayer money"
Says Alison Tyrer, spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, explaining the state's loss of $6.8m in a failed ethanol producer. Nothing like spending other people's money on dubious schemes, especially when they can be used, as this one was by former governor Sonny Perdue, to garner some publicity.

Sure, but it won't work out like you want.

P.S. Numbers are taken from a heavily biased conservative think tank.

aw how nice of them, such an altrusit spirit! you should be proud, not mad!

It's also missing DC which gets back more than 6 times...

It's biased. States with wealthier residents pay higher federal taxes per capita thanks to the progressive structure of the income tax. Other things that skew the results? The number of federal employees present in a state, and the number of residents receiving Social Security, Medicare and other federal entitlements. Even the amount of smokers within the state comes into play...But we shouldn't use sense when looking at the graphs.

If you take away R and B, it's the richest states fund the poorest, more or less. For exmaple, Puerto Rico makes out better than anyone else if you were wondering.

Really, what you should care about, if you factor in the gov't spends more than it takes in, they would all be below the $1.00 mark.

So, it's biased because some states are wealthier than others? Aww, Brainy! I never knew you supported wealth redistribution!

If you take away R and B, it's the richest states fund the poorest, more or less. For exmaple, Puerto Rico makes out better than anyone else if you were wondering.
I assume you mean R and D - but are you saying it's a coincidence all of the states but Texas that pay more than they get back are Democratic? And that it's a total coincidence the majority of states that receive more than they pay are Republican?

If you factor in the gov't spends more than it takes in, they would all be below the $1.00 mark.
This is incorrect. This is looking at funds the states receive back vs. the taxes they pay. You are referring to federal budget expenditures, which still won't change the absolute positions on the list anyways.

(Yes, Brainy. I just ninja edited in response to your ninja edits!)
