goodbye NY, it was fun while it lasted:
BREAKING NEWS - TOP DEM OUSTED BY SOCIALIST IN ELECTION SHOCKER
By Kevin Ryan
Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY), the powerful chairman of the House Democratic Caucus and 4th ranked House Democrat, has been unseated tonight by socialist challenger Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Democratic primary.
Ocasio-Cortez ran on a far-left platform of “Medicare for All“, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and stripping corporate money out of politics. She was backed by the Democratic Socialists of America and by Bernie Sanders’s Our Revolution.
The 10-term Crowley had been seen as the successor to Nancy Pelosi, and hadn’t even faced a primary challenger since 2004. But Ocasio-Cortez ousted him from his seat by a wide margin, 58% to 42%. Ocasio-Cortez, 28, challenged Crowley on ideological and racial grounds, saying he was not in step with the majority-minority district and was too cozy with corporate donors.

Justice Anthony Kennedy announces retirement, giving Trump 2nd Supreme Court pick | Fox News
So with The Donald getting to pick another one, and with the chances of Ginsberg or Breyer not lasting his first term (and almost no chance of lasting his second), I'm gonna go with 50/50 that by 2020, we've got a 6/3 right-wing Supreme Court, and near 100% chance that by 2024, it's 7/2. Ginsberg will be 91 if she lasts until the end of Trumps second term... and she's has cancer twice already. Granted, she's a fiesty Jewish gal who apparently works out a lot and has access to the best medical care on the planet, but still, 91 is getting up there for having a full-time job of any kind, let alone being a Supreme Court Justice.
Elections have consequences.

tolerant left, who wants to force you to do things you may not want to, but:
Sabo's latest installation: ****-style Democratic Party posters declaring in German and English that "Republicans are forbidden" and urging fellow Democrats to "Resist yourself! Do not buy Republican!"
In an emailed statement to the Daily Wire on Wednesday, Sabo said the project was inspired by the targeting of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, which "sent a chill" through him. "I had no plan to do anything on this subject or at least not until Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant where her and some family sat down for dinner," the artist told the Daily Wire. "It seems the Democrat owners don't welcome the patronage of Republicans."

needs more mic drop:
“If you have evidence of wrongdoing by any member of the Trump campaign present it to the damn grand jury. If you have evidence that this president acted inappropriately present it to the American people. There’s an old saying that justice delayed is justice denied. I think right now all of us are being denied. Whatever you got, finish it the hell up, because this country is being torn apart.”

Also, did I miss something here, or is the current president the one who ran in opposition to the party which came pretty close to nominating a candidate who openly espouses national socialism?
Politics is confusing. So many people seem to be hysterically afraid that the person who they didn't vote for, who opposes the thing which the person they did vote for supported, will somehow be responsible for enacting that thing.
Do I just need better drugs?
