Trump does have a point about oil prices however. If plants continuously produce less when demand is high...obviously prices increase.

Econ 101:
If supply decreases and demand remains unchanged, then it leads to higher price and lower quantity.

So Trump wants to increase production.

Resulting in this:
If supply increases and demand remains unchanged, then it leads to lower equilibrium price and higher quantity.


problem is crude oil pricing is justified and it doesnt relate to the gas pump. We have more barells of oil today than we did in teh start of the year. blaming OPEC is wrong.


Meanwhile, Obama has also gone publcs taking on the issue of high oil prices. He blames oil speculators, probably a more accurate blame. but his solution is to dump federal money into alternative energy sources.
