BBC News - Israeli intelligence veterans refuse to spy on Palestinians
"We refuse to take part in actions against Palestinians and refuse to continue serving as a tool for deepening military rule in the Occupied Territories," the letter added. "Intelligence allows ongoing control over millions of people, thorough and intrusive monitoring and invasion into most aspects of life. All of this does not allow for normal living, fuels more violence and puts off any end to the conflict." |

First hospital trip took 20 minutes total from call to hospital, the second one was 8 miles per the paper work.. Guess what, insurance (blue cross blue shield) aint covering any of it. |

A Slain Officer's Sons Got Dad's Police Car Thanks to an Awesome Gesture
The sons of a fallen Colorado officer now have the keys to keeping their father’s memory alive. The Weld County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday auctioned off the patrol car of Deputy Sam Brownlee, who was killed in the line of duty five years ago. Brownlee’s sons, Tanner and Chase Brownlee, raised money to buy their dad’s Dodge Charger, but they were outbid by a local rancher. Yet the moment that rancher Steve Wells won the car, he walked over to Tanner and handed him the keys. “Here’s your car,” he told Tanner. The $60,000 that Wells bid for the car will go to Concerns of Police Survivors, a group that helps survivors of officers who are killed in the line of duty. Watch the emotional moment that Tanner got the keys to his dad’s car above. |

more of this.
click to play This man, his wife and their 2 week old baby were in their car trying to out run the tornado. The car was picked up and thrown onto its side wedged between trees. From what I understood the dog was no where to be found after that. They went back yesterday to look for him and when they found him he was standing there guarding the overturned truck. |
This is a great, funny vid, showing how survey respondents think the world is, vs. the actual stats:

good thing no cops around:
Bella was staying with a friend’s of Lenny while he was on vacation, but she ran away and what followed a gut-wrenching few days for Lenny. But panic and despair turned to joy when she was found. Lenny writes, “Losing Bella was the worst nightmare, it felt like someone punched me in the stomach a million times. She ran away from my dog sitting friends house, while I was in Florida. Me, my family and friends looked for her for 3 long days! We put flyers, called every shelter in the area, activated an amber alert, and I did not got to work 2 days looking for her. She was lost very far away in Queens and we live in Manhattan! I had to travel almost 2 hours just to get to where she was lost! But We did not give up till we found her! In the video you can see Bella’s and I reaction of happiness, joy and tears! Enjoy!” I have to say Bella’s reaction is one of the happiest I’ve ever seen! |
