like I said. But credit where it is due. He fought better than expected and gassed when expected

Another MMA fanboi that doesn't understand boxing. Conor looked like the amateur that he is from the 1st round.

Floyd let Conor gas himself out, then worked him. I'm honestly surprised it wasn't stopped in the 9th. It was clear from the 8th he couldn't defend himself against arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time.

But he got his payday, but with heaping dose of shame for all his idiocy. No one that follows boxing thought he had a chance. That's why doctors even came out before the fight worrying for the Irishman's well being.

Yeah, early on my buddies were all excited about McGregor. I kept repeating two things:

1. Yes, McGregor absolutely won the first 3 rounds. He threw a lot more punches, landed a few even if they didn't do much damage, and generally was the aggressor.
2. Mayweather was quite happy to let McGregor win those rounds, and once he felt like the moment was right, it would become apparent just how huge the gap in skills really was.

Mayweather is just too much of a pro. I promise you, when McGregor put his hands behind his back and came forward a bit, Mayweather didn't even flinch. He didn't care. He had his plan, and he was never in any danger of losing.

I love this crap. Nobody wanted to say anything earlier, because the fight didn't happen yet and nobody can predict the future. Now that it's done everybody's like "oh Floyd Mayweather I knew from the start was going to beat his ******* ***". Oh really? If you guys were such fight club pros, then why didn't you put your money on it if you knew so damn well?

Or the power, really... putting down dudes wearing MMA gloves is different from putting down dudes with huge pillows strapped to your hands.

1. **** you for calling me a fanboi, of any sort. I made it pretty clear from the very first post that I don't follow this stuff.
2. He did really well 1-3ish. So, not bad. Not a win, but not bad.

In the end I really think not only skill, but Floyd's experience. Let the young guy run dry.
If Mac didn't gas out, we might be having a different conversation right now. But he didn't.
so there's that.
