YAY for healthcare!
All aboard the fail train! That abomination (Obamanation) passed last night. Like that is a surprise, it was only a matter of time before they paid off enough people to get the votes they needed. Just one more nail in our nations coffin. The plane is going down in flames and Obama and the democrats are in the pilot's seat.

Let's see how the Supreme Court feels about it after he pissed them off on his own, then not to mention the 34 state's Attorneys General that will sue over the law, as well as the VA law it conflicts with has to go before the court as well.
Looks like special interest groups won last night...I thought republicans were the hypocrites.

Japan and New Zealand are looking very nice right about now. Though like someone told me earlier, Japan's economy isn't exactly pretty right now, and if we go, they likely go with us.

But, I'm not so sure this bill will stand. I hope it comes to politician blood in the streets. Figuratively and maybe even literally.
Anybody who thinks this is good, is either uninformed, or stupid. (Yes, I'm sorry, you're ******* stupid!)

This country doesn't care about the facts and the consequences of who they vote in. All the majority of America voters think it's American idol and they just wanna vote in the person who they fear to discriminate. This is why ------s get recording contracts and you hear more about what Michelle Obama is wearing than you do about how her husband is ****** things up. I hear more about politics, where??? At work?? No...right here on this forum. I wish the rest of the country was as educated as some members on here, then we wouldn't be heading for a crash landing as we are.

I think one of the great failures of this country has been the inability to teach people how to apply microeconomic principles to the macroecomonic scale. People understand, intuitively, that they like having more choice of products at the grocery store, and they like having lower prices, and if they really thought about it, they'd probably even understand that this situation is the result of companies having to compete for the same market share, and some of those companies succeeding and some of those companies failing.
And yet, we have systematically taken free competition, the one economic principle that has ever proven to actually reduce consumer costs and improve quality and service, OUT of the insurance system (and the healthcare system). Why are people surprised at the results? When the government controls prices (which is not the same as reducing costs), it results in scarce resources.
Heaven help us when we're standing in mile-long lines for healthcare like they did for gas when the government tried to control those prices.

but dont you understand...grocery stores are evil, they are there to make a profit and not to feed you. A PROFIT?! can you believe it?! it's a travesty that you have to pay for food. we need a universal food care bill.

Find all of the store managers and hang them in front of the white house, then turn all of the stores over the Obama. Master wants what is best for us helpless, mindless children.

Holy ****....anybody seen this news yet? "Late decider" gets his home state's bank exclusive rights to originate student loans. Nice deal if you can swing it, I guess. I hate our government.

What is wrong with you people. Health care is a good thing. Like crap, we've had it in Canada for ages and it's amazing. Essentials are free, and drugs are cheap. The whole argument of "private blah blah makes competition makes it cheaper" is a load of crap when it comes to health care. Why do you think people travel to Canada and Mexico to buy medication?
And come on - the food argument is also weak as hell. It can't be argued that food is needed for EVERYONE TO LIVE. Without food, WE ALL DIE. Not having health care does not mean that everyone will die. It just means the poor people who can't afford proper health services have to suffer.
Get of your socialist hating asses, actually look at the rest of the world (Because guess what, we're all human, not some amazing super country that's better then everyone), and maybe admit you haven't done everything right for the past 60 years.
I also don't want to hear the argument "but you get crappy health service in Canada" because we don't. Essential Health care is immediate. I woke up one day with no hearing in one ear. Within 40 minutes I was at my doctors. about 45 minutes after that I was at an ear specialist. Got a full hearing test, looked over by the specialist, and then prescribed medication. Went to the local drug store, got my medication (for free), and in 3 days was totally healthy. I was diagnosed with tin ear but because it was found so early and treated, I was able to actually get my hearing back.
