I right know have a DIY turbo on my 1.6L and love it. I am planning on getting a newer Miata 94-97 with a 1.8L. I know I will need the new exhaust manifold but can I use the same down pipe since I know the cat back is the same for 90-97? Also I think The intake and intercooler will work but not sure. Has anyone tried this?

Just a few guesses:

I think that as long as the new manifold doesn't move the turbo there's no reason a new downpipe would be needed.

The intercooler is tied more to the chassis than the block so it should work.

The intake may need some modification *if* you change AFMs.
