Default 1.8 turbo kit for $1619

Have you guys ever heard of turbo specialties?
Are their kits any good?

It looks fairly descent for the price. maybe a step above a greddy kit. However the lack of information or even pictures from the manufacturer worries me. You do however get a garrett turbo and cast manifold, the downside is what looks like flexible tubing for the intake, universal parts adapated to fit, horrible oil return line (oil dipstick), poor fuel choices.

yeah, a return fitting brazed onto the dipstick tube. not my definition of ideal.

Okay, so how about I buy this kit, tap the oil pan for oil return, change the flexible tubing for intake (either get a kit from ebay or use the old FM intercooler I mentioned in another thread). But what needs to be changed for the fuel? AFPR?

Thanks

double check that the "Superior" kit doesn't come with an intercooler. Their website sucks, and shows the same pic for almost everything: Also take note that the Protege kit has the same part numbers.

:gay: yess the kit should work but it is unsure as to what comes with it. the site says either aditional injector thingy or safc if you get the safc then you can run some 330's and get a nice tune for low boost at stock fuel levels

I emailed them for some more info. Especially if the superior kit includes an intercooler.

I'll keep you guys informed.

this kit has been on the market long before the new FM redesign.
