Default 1badmx5 in the 1/8 mile

We took my miata out to the track last night (1/8 mile). Ran pump gas, street tires, and 12 pounds of boost (on the wastegate spring). We went 7.80at 95 mph with a 1.80 60ft. Still way too much wheelspin in 1st and 2nd. Im going to try and play with the launch control to get it to come out of the hole a little softer. I want it to go 7.50 the way it sits before we crank the boost up. Will post video shortly.

a 1.8 60ft. with tons of wheelspin? Wow. If you put sticky tires on that thing, you're gonna be shopping for driveline parts on the next launch. Very nice Miata- glad to see it's for real and being driven. - rob

I've got your car as my background, I found the pic online but didn't know who it belonged to...you have a sweet as ride...what is your estimated 1/4 time?

Very cool.

I see the IC sticking out somewhat from the mouth in the bumper. Curious to see more pics of that if you've got some.

Did Tony handle the fabrication work also? His work is topnotch.

No coolant reroute though? That somewhat surprises me considering the build. Maybe its something that Tony didn't think about (last I checked, Hondas were his main business... at least he posts his fun little projects on HT from time to time and also talks turbo there).
