SHOOT I don't know how I let the aluminum part slip my mind. I really wanted the pan to be steel when I drilled it so I could just use magnets of some sorts to get filings out. The drain plug came on the side with some purchased parts. Oh well I'll live, the car has been fine for the past week and no signs of damage and no leaks

There is plenty I could improve on. But this was supposed to be the all around budget nb miata diy turbo thread. I even calculated in oil and what not into the budget so people don't get the wrong idea. The manifold is what killed the grand total, but I really really really wanted cast. And I was heartbroken to see the that hks cast topmount for the 1.8 was discontinued. I would KILL for that manifold. haha

More ideas/ suggestions from fellow members welcome. I can't wait to get some videos up, and track times in.

You can't edit posts after a few months I believe, sorry. Why not new posts?

Cool build, solid parts. Call us when you're ready for Inconel studs
I hear brass magnets work on aluminum

Nice looking car, going to do any suspension mods?

Have you dyno'd the car?
what power are you putting out for your $2,726 investment?

I have a few questions. How long was the oil feed line and when you add the sandwich plate, does it put the filter too close to the bracket that supports the intake manifold?

Build looks like it's going pretty well. I cant wait til I am at this point.

I can make new posts I suppose. I'd rather someone click on the the thread and see all updates/ pictures on the first page than searching though (even though this is only the second page)

Only suspsension mods are the tein basics. If I keep the car through the winter. It will be getting plenty more suspension mods.

I have not yet dyno'd it since a few street tunes. I'm estimating around 200-215whp at 8.5psi with the new turbo I have up there.

I wanted to update because i'm no longer using the garrett (it crapped on me) and went for a relatively cheap/ reliable route.

Considering making a new thread. I love this car as is right now. Definitely gets down
