I'd be worried that destory the car ... those long 4th and 5th gear pulls can get up to some serious speeds! The only person doing that kind of foolishness in my car is going to be me.

GTR 323??? Nani? GTX was the AWD Turbo...you sure they aren't GTX? and lower compression? Like lower than 8 compression. Seems like you might be able to make more power out of the system if you were running a bit more compression and something like Water Injection.

You're going to love it. 22psi is a lot of boost for our little cars. It'll be a screamer.

The 1.6 GTX rods are beefy as well, I have not personally seen the 1.8 GTR rods but they are supposed to be quite strong (400+ WHP strong).

Given the tootpick size of the stock rods, and the abuse we put them through, any bigger rod is an upgrade. The GTX rods compared to Miata rods, courtesy of solomiata:

Keep in mind the GTR rods are much beefier still.

From Corksport:

"The J-Spec GT-R rods are from the Japanese market 323 GT-R built from 93-94 for WRC. The connecting rods are much stronger than the stock rod used in Mazda B series engines. The rods fit B6/BP engines. We have run over 30 psi on our Protege Drag car with these rods. The rods come with bolts and nuts and come in a set of 4. The rods will fit the B6 or BP engine."

The GTR rods looked heavy as **** compared to any forged rods on the market, belfab included.
