I think it was by guesing

 

There was a 1.8GTX sold overseas during 90-94 and the rods inside that motor are exactly the same as the BP but the compression is 8.2:1 on the pistons. I have that motor in my car.

The GTR rods are good to 500hp and this is what I will run in my built setup.

In the pictures below, the BP/1.8 rods are on the left, GTR rods in the middle, and Carillo A beam rods on the right.

 

just wanted to know did you take the car to rpmnyc located in jamaica. havent really seen any boosted miata's around queens for awhile. know of another guy with a miata trying to get his turbo kit together. while i am still waiting to get my motor back into the car. should try to get a meet together for the queens miata heads.

more fun.. i talked to rpm yesterday and im only making 225hp with 24psi @ 5500 rpms.... dont know what is going on... when they tune the link i can either get 10psi or 24psi nothing in between... any ideas????????????

doesn't sound like they know what they are doing at all.

on a sidenote, the GTR rods can take somewhere around 400whp safely.

 

try emailing fm ,with a request for a 20 psi base map.

 

Also the FM map sensor wont support more than 22 psi.
